So, I just got home from Wonder Woman. It exceeded pretty much all my expectations (which to be fair, were growing considering how good the reception had been). I was expecting it to be good. Not great, but good.

Instead, it was VERY good. I feel like I could write more, but the main thing I'm going to say about it was that it was absolutely stupid that this came out AFTER BvS. It adds so much context to the character and why she did what she did in BvS. I feel like JL is gonna pull even more of this retroactive bullshit too, and it annoys me.

Speaking of, the worst thing WW did is make me think that there's now a chance in hell that JL might actually be good. ****'s sake.

Despite all the success with the movie WB's still hasn't signed Jenkins up for the sequel yet.

With the NBA Finals being over it will be interesting to see how much makes on friday

Agreed that either BvS should have come After this, or they shouldn't have "introduced" her in BvS at all.

Heck I think BvS and SS were both just wasted movies for the DCEU Phase I tbh. SS especially. Would have been better off with a Batman solo film IMO. Then JL would have been the first time we got to see the Trinity together on the big screen.

Yep apparently they never locked her down for multiple films when she signed on.

Everything about the way WB handled this film from "Introducing" her in BvS before having the balls to give WW her own solo film, and the Jenkins 1 film only, through the late marketing to the lack of toys, suggests WB never had much faith in this film, and they're shocked themselves at it's critical and financial success.

@Pr : I think JL could be good if they got rid of Batman and Supes.

Don't worry they "killed" Supes off in BvS 😛

They should just park a truck full of money outside of her house, tbh.

TBH, I agree about those two. It makes BvS and SS seem almost... Pointless?

Don't forget Aquaman and Optimusborg.

Yep and they better hurry before Disney or another studio snaps her up.

The thing that struck me the most about it wasn't that it was just another superhero movie. Not that it was just entertaining. But that it was actually an intelligent movie, written to show us both Trevor's perspective of her weird island, and then the naïve Diana seeing that war is VERY different from training to be a warrior.

It actually felt like a war movie AND a superhero movie combined together.

^ Not seen it yet but looking forward to watching it 👆

WW was easily the best thing that came out of BvS, so I think she probably benefited from that anyways. Excited to see this.

I really think you'll like it, and it might even sell you on Gadot. She erased most of the doubts I had about her.

Well if their methodology is to have the Event movies promote the solo movies instead of the other way around, then yeah I guess it's working. But I think it's better the other way around.

YOU WILL.

^ Dont worry Stilt. I know it won't be as Awesome as the Thor whooping Hulk Spectacular we're getting in November.

Avoid this movie.

Please. The Thor films were serviceable to shitty, what makes you think this one will be any different just because they are aping the GOTG style?
