agreed. Even with the 6ep season, I think season 7 should have ended with white walkers arriving at winterfell, and season 8 ep 1 should have been the battle of winterfell. Would have given dany's ark more time to depict her transition instead of coming off as a wwe heel-turn. It was all way too rushed

I for one am enjoying the Spec Ops: the Line-esque descent into batshit madness that Dany is going through. It feels great to have been right all along.

I still miss Nephthys. Hopefully Dany murdering thousands of innocent people doesn't have him on suicide watch. 🙁

Take pleasure in all those folk who named their daughters Daenerys or Khaleesi.

Agreed. Final season needed more episodes amongst other things.

Anyone else really can't stand Arya.

Over 200k signatures already on a petition to redo season 8 with competent writers, lol.

Yeah, that's a balancing act, though. Because you don't want it to become too obvious so people will see it coming from a mile away. So I think what they did was relatively wise. Given her past of having trouble winning the love of some groups, losing her best friend, and the final nail in the coffin: Jon not returning her affections, along with her dogmatic conviction that the throne is hers it actually feels like a plausible tantrum.

Lol there are desperate fan theories saying Bran warged and took control of drogon and none of it's dany's fault.

😆

Lol. Well, that would at least make the case that he's not a complete vegetable and waste of a character.

He'd better be useful in the final episode. 🙄

Others are saying Bran was the horse at the end with Arya. Lol.

Actually he should become useful in this final episode, because he was a big plot point in the very first episode of the show. So it would be a nice bookend to the series.

Yeah there should have been at least 1 season of just dealing with Sersi and taking King's Landing and THEN the Wall should have come down and then a season of The Night King coming to Kill Everyone.

No, no.. f#ck that. Then there would be a bunch of boring episodes of Varys sneaking around whispering and other boring shit. F#ck that. This season isn't boring.

Only if you leave all the writing to D&D......Oh wait....

Also if they wanted to go the "Dany went insane" route they needed to dedicate more time to that character transformation.

While it's true that there are hints and foreshadowing, it's simply not enough to buy her sudden veer into comic book villain territory. She slowly went from being the white light/beacon of hope/chosen one character to kind of sketchy over the course of several seasons, but then she went from being kind of sketchy to full blown genocidal mass murderer over the course of like 45 minutes. It's just too much. An extra season dedicated largely to her descent into full madness would have gone a long way towards making the events of last episode more reasonable.

I agree that having a full season dedicated to the white walker invasion would have been a good idea, too.

As we quickly reach the final ep of this show, we can still blame all these deaths in Westeros since Season 1 from Ned's head rolling onward on Sansa; it's really all her fault, if she hadn't betrayed her father, there not have been wars and conflicts which cascaded into more wars and conflicts.

Ned would have locked up the Lannisters, placed Gendry on the throne; made a peace with Dany when she was still across the seas, Dany would have never unknowingly given the Night King a dragon to destroy the wall and that would have been that.

doubt it

That was in the short term due to his crippling levels of morals and I doubt that extended to Cersei, Jamie and Tywin. How else did he expect to take over Kingslanding long enough to set things right? Did I forget a plot line?

he was going to have robert do it, and later stannis. ned would have never made the call on his own, as was made painfully clear in season one. Even when he was going to take cersei and joff into custody his plan was for them to face stannis' judgement, not his own. Do you even GoT, bro?
