have fun being an irrational triggered mess over a TV show 👆
Your lack of understanding is the problem. Showing strength is power. She threaten them because they threaten.
It’s not cowardly in that world to show off your strength. Did you believe Ned would have let Theon alive if Balon was crazy enough to start another War?
Would Ned be crazy and mad if he took Theon’s head off?
People like you is the reason I hate this forum now. Instead of debating properly, you call me triggered.

not to go out of my way to disagree with everyone here, but foreshadowing alone does not make for a convincing transition. i think overall it was too rushed and very poorly executed.
but we do agree that squall is a baby who thinks that his delicate emotions trump evidence
Originally posted by Bashar TegI do agree the show kind of floundered especially the final episode for me at least but the foreshadowing was there. Certain episodes I really enjoyed this season but the final one was so underwhelming it kind of ends and dissipated my need for more GoT. Great show just ended on a sub par note for me. I do enjoy squalls inability to cope with this season a lot.

Why are you 2 so damn smart! I cannot for the life of me argue against such cleverness!
But let me try just a little.
I don’t care that Dany was turned mad, what I care about is the way it went about. In one episode, her whole arc from season 1-7 was ruined for shock and awe. Even D&D claimed it so.
But tell me this
- Do you guys know Jon is one of the most cunning and manipulative characters in the books?
- Is Jon mad when he stole Mance’s son from him, switch the child with Gilly’s, then force Mance to go in Winterfell and rescue a girl whom he believes is Arya being forced to marry Ramsey?
-is Jon mad when he told all the Wildlings, Ill let you come to this side of the wall, but I want your kids as hostages, and I want you to man the Wall. Refuse, I kill you children. Is that mad?
-Is Jon mad when Alys came to him to escape marriage, and had her marry a Thenn as a way for Jon to gather more power on his side. Is he mad?
- Were the Starks mad when they completely wipe out out the Greystark form history?
-Was Robert mad when he declared war against his King?
-Was Balon mad when he desired to rule his own kingdom?
You guys are failing to understand Martin’s vision of his characters. No character in that world is truly good. They are either grey or evil.
Pragmatism is the law in that world, being nice get you kill. Why do you think Tywin is suck a ****. It was because other lords used to laugh at his father, and called him weak. And Tywin swore he would never be weak like his father.
Again Dany turning mad is okay, if it were done properly.
It is just your opinion what is proper and what is not. To think an opinion is black and white shows a limitation in your thinking. I could pretty much break you down how you think and it would be so easy. You are an emotional there is a black and white type person. You did not like it. That is all it boils down to. Quit crying here over it. GoT is not yours. It never has been. They dictate what occurs not you.

Her arc was one of those things where when you look back you say "okay this behavior isn't actually that shocking, the signs were there".
As for your other stuff, maybe Jon was cunning in the books, but in the shows he's not very bright.
There is nuance here, yes this is a world where "good" people have to do bad things...even killing innocents. Sometimes it can't be avoided it, sometimes it can. Sometimes when it is done it is just...cruel and cold. The Hound wasn't insane when he murdered that kid, he was just cold and indifferent to the entire thing.
Dany's entire reason for existing was shattered when she learned who Jon really was...and she laid waste to a city cuz she got triggered over the sight of the red keep. That is insanity that is not cruel indifference.

Again, I don’t mind that she lost it, but a character like her, that survive everything that happened to her, would not have lost it in just mere hours. Dany was pissed at Jon because he made her a promise and broke it.
There’s a reason when Sansa asked Non for forgiveness, he side stepped her. Jon may not hate Sansa, but he doesn’t trust her. I reckon the only ones Jon trust now, are Tormund and the Freefolk.
If D&D has made a season 9, and show the decline to maddest, then I would have except it. D&D even claimed, all of season 8 was for shock and awe.
Here’s one. Did you know that Varys was the reason the Targaryen lost it all?
It was Varys that told Aerys of Rhaegar’s plot for the tourney of Harrenhal. It was Vary’s that told Aerys to open the gates and allowed Tywin in.
Yet we don’t call Varys mad, just manipulative.
Did you know the series finale that span near 70 minutes, only held 17 minutes of dialogues?
What I argue for is not Dany’s turning evil, but the idiotic way it happen. Those destroy nearly 7 years of character development for shock and awe. That’s not good story telling.

Damn! He killed 4 people! Thanos’s not only a failure, but a failure that was only able to kill 4 measly people. That’s sad bro. Truly sad.
Here’s some tears for that failure of a conqueror. 😢

If you think he only killed 4 people in the film forget the beginning of IW, the flashback scene to Gamora, common sense, the fact your mother cheats on your father, etc.
—They are dimensionalising Thanos as a villain, explained Joe. What I think is interesting is hes sort of a cult figure, Thanos. Hes a world-conqueror like Genghis Khan. He’s been moving throughout the universe conquering worlds.—
Worlds. Dany failed at conquering all of Westeros which is not even the world.
😂
