^ Yeah that's how I used to fell about TFA as a stand alone. But watching it followed by the sequels is great. Because TFA is a true to the comics origin, and the sequels all more than make up for the lack of great action scenes in TFA.

IMHO:

1) Nolans Batman Trilogy...
2) Captain America Trilogy...
3) Xmen reboot Trilogy (assuming what the majority is saying about Apoc is true)...

Yes, I think those would be the top 3 for most of us. With the order mixed up here and there.

Tho, I think another top 3 for the pre-superhero movie cinematic golden age would be warranted. (pre 2000's)

Currently I would say: 1) Cap/Nolanbat, 3) X-Men myself. Tho I think that's mostly due to the bad taste in my mouth with the last Nolanbat movie and the feeling of awesome on the latest Cap movie so I will admit that my top 3 might be a bit biased right now.

And I'll be honest, I've always thought Captain America was a bland character in the comics and had doubts about Cap ever being able to make a good movie. I am so glad I was wrong about that.

My favorite Superhero movies top 5:

1) Watchmen
2) TDK
3) CW
4) DoFP
5) Tobey Spiderman 2

If we include X-Men, I would put Blade as number 4. Yes his last movie sucked but the first two were excellent.
