Clark Kent: What’s that on your face?
Billy Batson: Eh, it’s what you get for trying to be good. Should have just kept my mouth shut.
Billy Batson: “Be good and good will follow.” That’s what my parents used to always tell me.
Billy Batson: You know, Mr. Kent, I was good before they were taken from me. I was good at the foster home and I was good 15 minutes ago. I’m starting to think being good isn’t good for me.
Clark Kent: It seems that way sometimes doesn’t it? But that’s because good is hard. Bad is always easy.

i just really like this scene(well one of them) this is few minutes from the beginning of the film. Billy who is a poor orphan kid goes out of his way to protect a homeless man from some young thugs. he geats beat up but still even gives the homeless man some coins..which is all he had. one of the reasons i love Captain Marvel, well Shazam as they renamed him now(much better i guess so no confusion with Marvel’s C.M). one of my favorite in DC. i just love this character. a 12 year old in the Justice League…now thats awesome!

The film was good outside of the fights, I thought. It was back when DC had no problem worfing Superman every time they needed to.

I think he performed well. What was your issue with the fights?

These are the scenes that gives me goosebumps in regards to the MOS. I love when he channels that fatherly image it almost reminds me of cap a little. And there's no condescension here, i always believe that at the heart of his character he truly doesn't want to fight. He just wants everyone to be good.

That beating up Superman was used as a plot device to tell a moral story about Billy.

Did he get beat up? I recall him stating that he hates magic. Plus Clark always pulls punches and it was obvious Teth was going all out. You think they jobbed him out? Which scene in particular are you referencing?

I haven't watched it in years. I just remember Superman underperforming against Adam so that Billy could come in and save the day. Getting worf'd, etc.

You should rewatch it. It has done pretty decent replay value. And stop hating on Clark/Diana. It wasn't THAT bad...in the meantime try Valiant

4001 A.D.: War Mother #1 (2016) _// Valiant Comics

“In the 41st century, much of the planet has been reduced to a barren wasteland. New Japan orbits the Earth as a floating oasis that towers over the ashes of the old world. The survivors of this desolate new age, robbed of the planet’s once-lush natural resources, must endure great hardships to survive. Amidst the devastation, one outpost of scientific knowledge has thrived by adhering to a strict code of isolation. But even the denizens of this walled city must venture out into the wasteland to gather supplies from the remnants of what was. This task is designated to one and one alone: War Mother.

But all is not peaceful, even in New Japan. When the space-faring empire begins jettisoning city-sized sectors to Earth during the onset of a civil war, War Mother is called upon with a new mission: mega-salvage! Armed with a newly born sentient sniper rifle, War Mother is a one-woman army bent on sacking the crash-landed sector’s technology-laden debris for anything of value to her tribe. But, as calm turns to chaos, Sector 8146 will reveal a telling secret about Earth’s true order that will collide War Mother against her community, her code, and her calling…and bring destruction down upon one of humanity’s last surviving outposts of order.”

Where have you been? I was one of the few people on this board that actually wanted them to give Clark and Diana a chance.

What we got was just mostly terrible by petty writers throwing their rattles out of the pram because they couldn't have their precious Lois.

Oh yea I forgot. I thought u didn't like Diana. But it's Abhi that dislikes Diana, while Carver cheerleads. You hate Lois for some reason although she's inconsequential. I didn't see the writers as wanting her back I just thought they couldn't properly handle their relationship. Imo Diana isn't right for Clark anyway. If she's not with Trevor I don't see her with anyone. She shouldn't be one of those characters defined by her relationship like Jean and Scott.

Roku is awesome but she looks like she's about to get raped by Trigons retarded nephew.

Bloodshot Reborn #15

I love this scene and not just because the fangirl inside me creamed when Gotham and Gotham Girl couldn't find Bruce. It was because of how cool Gordon is. It's like I love that Gordon is no longer impressed by people flying and just doesn’t give a phuck anymore._Someone needs to give this guy a mini. Like four issues showcasing why he's Gothams top cop.

She's just not the kind of woman I would choose to date, and I find it hard sometimes to see why Superman likes her.

A competent writer would avoid letting that happen (the defining thing).

Who Lois? I have to admit. I've only liked two Lois incarnations. Margot Kidder and Teri Hatcher. I didn't hate the comic version but she's a background character that I can do without. HOWEVER she does seem to humanize Clark which is a mus given his god like power. She also plays well into the "damsel in distress" cliche that I would HATE to see Diana relegated too. I also pray they don't make her a lesbian. THAT would piss me off.

On Harley I like the color scheme. She's "in" now so everyone wants her to be all bubbly/ditzy/sexy. I can do with two but not all three.

Cupid. Another fav

Lois has been written well in the past; I don't deny that. I've liked her in those cases. Just sometimes when she isn't, and she gets a pass. Kind of like Jean Grey, in that she can do whatever she likes, but she's a favourite, and people won't call her on her shit. I despise Jean, but that's a whole other conversation.

I don't see any reason they'd have to make Diana any kind of damsel in distress. If they can write Superman and Batman in a comic without making Batman completely useless, they can do it with Diana.

I like Harley's costume colour scheme, I just hate the costume itself. I don't find it sexy, personally.
