School is writing to parents of kids as young as 4 about asking them which gender they identify as. Come on now, are we stuck in some kind of Groundhogs Day timeloop, except it takes place on April 1st? I thought it was late May but apparently it's April Fools Day.

As a supporter of transgender rights, I find this ridiculous. Then again, I've always thought that creating new pronouns when most trans people are perfectly fine with the traditional pronoun that they identify with, be it he or she, was silly.

Fined? Maybe, maybe not. Punished in some way, yes. If nothing else it's unprofessional to use that kind of language toward one of your workers.
