She wont due to plot. You dont spend 10 years building up these three heroes and then have a newbie come in and win the fight. I bet she will mess hin up and injure him but she wont get the kill.

Thanos is the big bad she is teaming up with all the other heroes to combat. That alone proves my point.

We wont know how powerful she is until we see her in action in both this movie and Avengers. At that point it could be possible she could defeat Thanos. We dont know what her role is even going to be in Avengers 4.
I also know that it is a movie and in order for their to be some payoff, a character people are emotionally invested in will either sacrifice themself and/or killing Thanos to save the day. Thanos defeat is already in process, his whole plan ruined.

Thanos achieved his goal despite the universe in that of Asgard, earth, Xandar, gotg, wizards, etc. getting in his way.
Thanos is the biggest villain in the biggest franchise in the biggest collection of powerful heroes ever assembled on screen in the biggest movie. Chew and suck on that one till it is bone dry.
