Reasonably sure he's more of a Thor guy. Unless you meant in terms of brute physical strength? The impression I got is that Captain Marvel would be overall the most powerful, not necessarily the physically strongest. She'd dethrone Thor, but not Huc.
Either or works for me. Dethroning Thor is, to some, just as bad though.

What's the matter sport? Too stupid or cowardly to validate your opinion my friend?

^ That goes both ways, Why should you regarding Captain Marvel.
Captain Marvel represents EVERYTHING wrong with Marvel comics proper atm....
Many of us Cringe just at the name. She's a c-tier character at best spotlighting as an A-lister. She has trouble selling her own books. Yet Marvel is powering down all of their original characters just so she can look good in the movies? There are MANY more reasons why I don't like her or why I don't care about her...but that's a small sampling for you.
It would probably be received better if the current iteration of Captain Marvel wasn't such a terrible person. Unlike say the GotG who's greatest challenge was trying to promote an obscure series, Captain Marvel deals with being both unknown and panned.
Also if seen from someone that doesn't really follow comics and just watches the MCU movies for fun, I'd imagine it would seem pretty odd that this character that nobody has heard of showing up at the 11th hour and being able to solve the problem better than any MCU hero introduced so far. Could also work as a pleasant surprise to those that don't know the character if the movie turns out well but again I'm skeptical just due to how much of a jerk Carol is.

But in the end...
Its Marvel, it'll be good.
I believe that, their record speaks for itself.

He's not skyfather level lol. I tell you this, Thor, Hulk and even Thanos will all bow to the ALLMIGHTY Captain marvel. That's how Disney wants it. Even if the majority of us don't care about the character. Meh.
If you think Captain Marvel's going to fly in and shart on Thanos, thereby KOing him, you're sorely mistaken imo.
She'll be a powerhouse (what they need to win), but it will be a combined effort to take down Thanos. More than Captain Marvel will have their shining moment in the war. eg Hulk is definitely going to redeem himself from his showing (or lack there of) in IF.
I also suspect Thanos isn't going to be outright godly in IF2, that the stones will be temporarily** depowered or at a weakened state after their universal level usage and this is the in the team will need to defeat him, before the stones recharge (for lack of a better word).
**What I believe Dr. Strange saw in the one future where they win, the only way to defeat Thanos is to let him win and weaken himself and the stones.
Originally posted by CPT Space BombI didn't ask you about your problem with Captain Marvel allegedly being the most powerful hero in an insulting way at all my friend. I was genuinely curious about why someone had a problem with her being portrayed as such, presumably from someone more up to date on current Marvel comics than I. It is entirely possible to have a conversation with me that doesn't involve trading insults, provided you're not being a phaggot like when you condescended to someone over not liking the MCU by claiming you felt sorry for him (lmao!) or when you tried to dismiss me as an SJW (double lmao!).

Fact of the matter is that you know I'm not nearly as stupid as you're trying to claim. It's why you refuse to interact with me, because I'm both the fastest gun in the west as well as a bit of a kvnt. 👆

Originally posted by RobtardI expect Captain Marvel's power will result primarily from a combination of Thor tier brute strength, energy projection, and durability combined with speedster quickness. The MCU have been pretty careful about giving their characters notable super speed. The only real speedster IIRC is Quicksilver, who had it as his only power.

I think she will probably be the most powerful overall, but I don't think there is going to be this huge, exaggerated gap. People also need to remember that the initial quote by Feige is from a few years back IIRC (for example, it was still pre-Ragnarok, pre-Stormbreaker Thor then if I am not mistaken). Things have progressed a lot since then. Their business/phase model has probably changed a bit since then, based on how character popularity goes.
I don't think they are stupid enough to make her head and shoulders above all the other heroes. Because they know that if, after 10 years of building up all these characters and this universe, suddenly throwing someone in that renders most of the others useless is a bad move, and will probably be received very poorly by the masses.

I dont see it as a huge problem.Marvel isnt as stuck on a hierarchy as DC, where everyone lines up behind Superman.
Marvel tends to share a lot of the heroic archetype slots, which i like.
It is, just in its own way, and still, both the Avengers and the Justice League largely have the same "this guy fills x role, this girl does x" and so on.
And, I mean, look at the Hulk.
Either way, as much as I dislike current Carol, I am hopeful that the Russo's handle it as well as they have Infinity War. They really, really are a smart couple of lads, so I'm not THAT worried.

What about current Carol elevates your choler my son?
She's just really, really badly written, and Marvel has been pretty transparent in the Roman Reigns-esque push she's gotten in the last few years. And even if you disagree with that, there's her history as being largely a joke character. It's pretty telling when, for the longest time, a character was most well known as the girl that Rogue absorbed to get her powers.
