True, but this episode also made another point in that Bill Maher was talking about "well the cops volunteered for this job, danger comes with it" and that is certainly true, but the cops aren't soldiers though. Sometimes people forget that, but they aren't. A cop actually isn't supposed to unnecessarily risk his life to catch someone or even to save someone.

The guy had already killed several cops..yeah send the robot in. Why not just put a gun on the robot though?

EDIT: As for the Oregon thing, yeah I think the guy that got killed essentially behaved in a threatening manner and thus was shot. IMO there is a big example of your police corruption. Not the shooting, but the fact they allowed it to go on so long. They didn't create any kind of perimeter and they allowed people to go in and out of the place, etc. That is where the true corruption lies, not in violence, but inaction.

They did the same thing at a Trump rally..just sat there and watched Anti Trump protesters break the law, etc. and didn't do shit.

Maher makes no sense. Cops do not volunteer to get sniped at by a terrorist. Glad they took him out with a bomb. He declared war on the cops so they killed him with war tactics.

As far as Oregon, (I hate saying stuff like this) if they were Muslim extremists, the cops wouldn't have been nearly as lenient IMO.

As far as Trump rallies go, anybody, whether they are pro or anti Trump, who commits violence or breaks the law deserves to be arrested

Yes they do, if it's domestic. It's part of the job description to put your life on the line at literally any moment. That's why some of them are so skittish at times I would think.
