Lol, if movie sucked, people just want to f*cking forget it... instead of making sock accounts to lower its audience score.

Nah they want other people to boycott it so they change things up for the next film. Or to just brag on the internet how low it's audience score is.

Or you're just being paranoid and refusing to believe this piece of shit smelled like a piece of shit.

Rewatch Poe/Hux conversation a dozen times (apparently you need it badly), punch Rian in the face, then come back.

It's sad the same people have to go see it 2 or 3 times just to boost the boxoffice.
People see films they enjoy multiple times. I am not dirt poor. I also pre purchased it on my ps4. I didn't grow up with any nostalgia towards Star Wars but those who did tend to be the ones upset over anything that challenges their perception of Star Wars. I saw Thor Raganarok and Star Trek Into Darkness multiple times but you didn't have a problem with that. Also Civil War, Dr. Strange, etc.

Ironic since there was a movement from the Justice Legague fans to boost the sales by seeing it six times. I saw that mediocre film once. **** the dceu. Mediocrity.

OR I'm just not accepting unreliable information.

It's audience score is as reliable as Justice League's which has like just under 80% 😂

Fair enough...

as i write this.. Last Jedi has surpassed Wonder Woman's whole entire domestic total and Last Jedi sits at $844 milion worldwide.. The force is clearly storng with this one...

don;t forgot those that are crying over not getting the great hack snyder's verison of Justice League

Man I wish that were true.

Are there people in this thread arguing that because the movie is successful at the Box Office, that it must be a demonstrably good film?

I'm not sure, the movie was shit though.

Meh, I wouldn't say that. Adam Sandlers movies are shit. TLJ wasn't. I've seen other Star Wars movies that made me bored and annoyed that I'm wasting my fandom (as a youngster). This wasn't one of them, so kudos to that.

Unfortunately yes.

Well I'm glad it's making money so Star Wars can go on for years.

Ugh.

Financial success =/= quality of product. I know alot of die hard free market capitalists (or intensely over-obsessed movie viewers) like to think that that line of reasoning is akin to knowing the mind of God, but it really f*cking isn't.

It'll never end. It will never stop. Every year. Forever. And f*cking ever.

YouTube video

TBF there are also a lot of people gleefully pointing out the large drop off over Christmas and comparing the box office to TFA as proof that its shit.

The PT has been on marathon over the holidays and i rewatched them. TLJ is probably better than TPM and AOTC, and yes, ROTS is still the best SW film.

im just pointing out that despite the hate, millions of people are clearly liking what they are seeing.... and that is going to go a long way than hate ever will

The 2nd weekend drop and overall box office mutilplier are actually better mearsements of WOM.

However comparisons to TFA are silly given the unprecedented hype behind that one. And just looking at overall box office is stupid as well. Because that’s implying brand names mean nothing.

I am arguing I have deemed it great therefore it's great. I'm also happy it's making money because when they are successful and critically approved that bodes well for the franchise going forward.
