Now you're following Rob's habit of calling me a Trumper when he has nothing left to fall back on.It's what I expected from a follower such as yourself.
Originally posted by Silent MasterGiven that you've backed a semi illiterate man for president you should be consumed with shame. Everyone can tell an obvious Trump troll when they see one. Poor Sm. No one takes him seriously anymore. The woes of the security guard.
Given how much smarter Rob is than you it's only natural that you would decide to follow his lead, like a good little minion.

Quan can't handle the fact that people have a different opinion than he does. So he's following Rob's example and calling me a Trumper. Unfortunately for him, I don't actually care what his opinion of me is.
You hate this movie because of its diversity one might say Trumpesque. You follow your semi illiterate president on everything.
Now you've gone from following Rob's example to following Firefly's and accusing everyone that has a different opinion of being a racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic cetera excetera excetera.
You really need to stop following other people and walk your own path. I know it's scary for someone like you but, it's time.

It genuinely disappoints me that so many folks found it underwhelming, but disagreement is the beauty of art anyways
Hopefully you get to a point where you just don't care if other people don't like something, because you can like it enough to pick up the slack. That's how I am with most of the stuff I like that nobody else seems to.

I didn't like The Last Jedi, but I get where you're coming from. The reaction to this movie reminds me a bit of the reaction to The Dark Knight Rises, with most people liking it but it having a vocal minority of fans who absolutely hated it. I liked Rises, and a lot of the anger that fans had towards it puzzled me, like how the anger towards TLJ puzzles a lot of Star Wars fans.

Nobody comes close to hating something as much as fans of that exact thing, usually. You can see it in almost every fandom.

Exactly. Fans get emotionally invested, and usually put a lot of themselves into the movie. They obsess over the smallest details that almost no one else cares about and half the time were probably unintentional, and act like these details were divinely inspired gospel. It's like a religion to them. When the sequel isn't what they had in their head, it feels like a betrayal to them.
