Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Backfire, Darthplagueis comes from these kids who believe any defeat no matter the context makes insert character weak. Just as in the film they wanted to create myths about the strength of the Jedi it’s what these fanatics actually think. Luke scorned at the idea of taking down the First Order singlehandedly making his feat make sense since he’s nowhere near that powerful to do so in the flesh. This won’t reach the star wars kids as they are in their Trump bubbles with regards to their characters. Alt realities.

I'm thinking they're going to CGI Leia for small scenes and then have her die in some explosion where she can't Force-fly through space to safety. God, that scene was silly.

They've already said they aren't going to CGI her. I'm guessing she'll be killed off in the opening crawl or something.

yeah they should make a lifeless soulless cgi puppet out of her like they did with tarkin. what better way to honor her.

Tarkin's CGI parts where impressive considering.

Young Leia looked too plastic-y though

My guess is that Episode 9 will take place some years after TLJ ended, so they can kinda normalize The First Order having control of the galaxy, and also maybe say that the rebellion has regrouped and grown from the 12 people or whatever it was at the end of TLJ to a more sizeable force. In that time, Leia will probably have died or been assassinated by TFO and that has galvanized support for the rebellion. Maybe the movie starts at her funeral or something.

That sounds very plausible and I think it was 19 people and a couple droids but one of the droids wasn't fully committed to the cause, more of a casual rebel'r

pretty sure that's going to the case.

The two things I greatly dislike about the Last Jedi:

-Daisy Ridley is a wooden actress. I simply do not like her acting.

-Luke needlessly died. Even if he does return in Episode IX as a Force ghost, I feel that Luke shouldn't have "conveniently died" after projecting himself.

Honestly, I just say recast her for her final outing. Dont completely change Leia planned big role because of Carries untimely passing, and give the character the send off she deserves.

I think there's something to also be said about the poor planning of the sequel trilogy. I think people's negative reaction has as much to do about that then the movie itself.

Having each film in the trilogy directed and written by different people like they initially planned was a big mistake. It creates a sort of disjointed feeling when going from movie to movie, as JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson obviously are stylistically very different and have completely different desires in how they want to approach Star Wars. So the move from one to the other within the same trilogy made for a rather jarring experience. I really don't know why Disney did it this way. They should have had one director do the entire trilogy instead of splitting it up, I think that would have alleviated a lot of the issues people had with TLJ.

Obvioulsy Rian took a HUGE and I mean a HUGE risk! Which would result in either a BIG WIN or a tremendous disappointment.

Clearly many people liked the movie, but based on what i've researched, most fan-base is disappointed.

I am personally disappointed, here is why:

1. Luke Skywalker: This is to me the movies GREATEST mistake. We were initially disappointed in TFA but were promised to get repayed for Luke's abscence, yet TLJ completely WASTES the character.

Luke was supposed to be the Yoda of this new trilogy. Am not saying he was supposed to have the same role he did in the first trilogy, but at least he should have been there to guide and teach Ray.

However, we are presented with this old, weakened, tired, senile, grumpy, and coward character NOTHING NEAR Luke's personallity.

Even Mark Hamill himself claimed he hated what Rian did with him!

Whatever Rian was thinking with Luke, it clearly didn't end up as expected

2. Snoke:

Similar to Luke, TLJ was supposed to squeeze the juice out of this character...Yet it seems like instead they decided to step on it and throw to the garbage.

Snoke was a complete disappointment! Unless Ep. 9 brings some resurrection shit, Snoke will remain as the biggest Troll in movies. (Let it not suprise you that Quanchi removed him from his profile and signature 😂 )

3. Plot:

The Last Jedi is filled with Plot Holes and PIS!!!! It's ridiculous!

I imagine josh crying at his computer screen right into his bag of potato chips as he typed his thoughts on TLJ.
