Well social media is the current weapon. Still the hate towards Lucas for the prequels was coming from somewhere. Going by RT more than half the critics liked the first 2, and Ep.3 was Certified Fresh.

All 3 received a very decent A- cinema score from audiences as well.

So where was the “universal” hate coming from? Im sure if anyone bothered to do a massive study on it they could find out.

The prequels were ok, no were as hated as the new shit, a lot of fans liked em.

I dunno. I recall seeing Hard Core Star Wars FanBoys leaving the theater Crying after Phantom Menace...I found that funny as hell.

Shrug, compared to TLJ the phantom menace was a ****ing masterpiece....tell me I’m wrong lol.

That movie came out when I was in high school and a couple of my friends were hugely into star wars at the time, they were in denial about it for a few weeks.

There will always be a few cry babies especially when the original films were so epic and there was a generational gap between trilogies.

I went to see at the midnight screening The Phantom menace at the time and i didn't come away from it disappointed like most other folks.

I don’t know how anyone can compare the hot garbage that was TFA and TLJ to TPM. But that’s just me.

For all the shit talk, the original trilogy did have good things in it, good duels for one, the clone wars cartoon where gregious was a beast, Darth Maul, dooku, etc.

I loved it. And I think most people enjoyed it. The hate is overhyped.

Now that I would waste my time studying the hate behind it.

I know alot of people hated Jar Jar Binks because they found him annoying, Personally i didn't find him "that" annoying.

Same. Did not care for him. But did not ruin the film for me either.
