Apparently Hamill wanted to bring in some idea's from Legends for this movie, Rian johnson didn't want to use them

Seems to me Rian johnson wants to do something fresh that hasn't been done before.

I'm expecting next to nothing from these movies, I couldn't stand any of the new characters. The only way I'll even consider seeing this is if Luke has a huge part.

The one character I really want to see more of is Finn. Really great concept for a character: a kid raised to be a stormtrooper who realizes that he cannot be the assembly line made faceless soldier that The New Order made him to be. At TFA climax, he comes so far to face off with the Sith Apprentice that is part of the big three that answers to Snoke. Great character arc, and the best thing from TFA, IMO.

Imagine getting sold on a stormtrooper going up against Vader in the original trilogy.

I really hope that we get some original material that doesn't just mimic Empire Strikes Back like TFA mimicked A New Hope. For all the problems with the prequel trilogy, at least Mr. Lucas wrote an original plot that had new and different ideas for the fall of the republic, the Jedi Order, and Anakin.
