well it didn't bother me that much...was just explaining why some flipout about it.

It wasn't even a point I brought up in my negatives of the movie in my review...

That being said there are a TON of unanswered questions in this movie that linger even from TFA...

So was Palpatine and many Sith lords. That's what make them great. I'm tired of "a great jedi with awesome bloodline".
You're missing the point. Those Jedi and Sith that you're referring to all had TRAINING, extensive training as well. Rey just showed up and within her first movie showcased:
1. Superior lightsaber fighting (winning against Kylo who was TRAINED)
2. Jedi mind tricks
3. force telekinesis.

Kylo was grievously wounded and mentally broken, as killing Han messed him up.

Not likely.

Palpatine was able to kill his entire family simply with his anger with NO training at all. That's talent. Also Rey did have some memory or planted memory, so that could help her with how to use the Force.

Kylo was heavily injured for that fight and was unbalanced by murdering his father, while Rey achieved a zen-like connection to the Force.

Luke was also barely trained and pulled off similar shit. The EU has countless other examples of Force users doing similar stuff with no training if they're strong. These movies are making a choice to emphasize that who your parents are or whatever training you've had isn't as important as possessing a strong spiritual connection to the Force and a pure will. Rey is so strong because she's more or less already got the right Jedi spirit. As Yoda pointed out, Rey's already a good person. She doesn't really need training. She already just gets it. And I like that.

And if you need more than that theres the whole "The Force created a champion of Light to match you!" thing.

That's not why he lost though...he was overpowered. She physically overpowered him AND defeated him in the ways of the force (overpowered his force pull with hers on the lightsaber) AND bested him in the ways of sabre combat.

And don't think for a second that he'll ever beat her in anything. When the time comes, Rey will beat him again. Meh, it's not a huge deal to me as I'm caring less and less about this trilogy anyway.

Basically, Rey is an uninteresting character because I never feel that there isn't anything she can't do. The only real interesting thing left about her is finding out who her parents are (assuming TLJ was pulling our legs)

It's much easier to overpower a foe who is bleeding out than a healthy one.

TFA bowcaster was uber af, much superior to the one Chewie used in the OT.

Sure, Rey's showed a lot of "heart force" in that duel, typical hero moment to shine, but she also had help from Finn...

I can't believe we go from the Force Awakens to the Last Jedi.

Oh yeah, not sure I’m convinced yet that Phasma is dead. She had what seemed like a certain death in TFA iirc and still came back, but it’s like they think as long as she has roughly the same amount of screentime as Boba Fett in the OT, that anything they do with her will be fine. ermm

Sad right 😑

A LOT of unhappy people...

On the bright side, Ep IX can't get any worse than this... right?

A bit similar feeling, it was not bad, but just weird.

Well, maybe
Spoiler:

Broomboi becomes a grandmaster jedi in 1 film
Rey and Kylo kill eachother in the final battle so they can have ghost hand sex again.
Snoke comes back as a good guy force ghost and hams it up with Yoda.
Han Solo comes back as a force ghost and starts muttering something about mumbo jumbo
Leia starts Supermanning everywhere she goes because it's boss
Luke comes back and turns into the first real Sith in decades.
The camera also stays on Luke for 10 minutes as he milks the creature and violently gulps down it's body fluids again...
The only space battle has Ewoks come from nowhere riding on magic brooms and throwing (literal) shit at everyone.
Chewie gets killed by a Porg uprising
Finn falls in love with Phasma and they have 10 children

Suddenly the prequels don't seem to bad.

I'd love it 👆 Especially the

Spoiler:
milking
part, easily the greatest scene of all time.

Different problems.

Other than some unpopular ideas, PT got a great concept, but it failed to execute well to the audience because there was WAY TOO MANY to tell.

TLJ's storytelling is ok, the plot got many unfavorable ideas.

Maybe they should hire me for Episode IX instead of JJ!! 😎

Not sure what to make of this movie. There were some great scenes, bad ones, many f*cking weird ones, and the plot was a bit curious. I expect it will take a second or even third viewing before I decide whether I like it or not.
