Tarzan vs Captain America

Captain America is investigating a case the puts him in the Jungle and face to face with Tarzan.

Captain needs to enter an forbidden part of the Jungle and Tarzan faces him to stop him.

Fight takes place in the Jungle.

Who wins?

Some feats for Tarzan for those who do not remember:
Killed three Lions with a knife (Two Male one Female)
Wrestle and killed a Croc in the water.
Fought and killed a large Gorilla
Jump off the top of the broken bridge and had no injuries
Able to swim faster than Jane could run on land
Able to keep up with animals on foot
Kicked a Large man through a wall of a moving train
Defeated a train cart of soldiers
Protecting Jane from Kerchak while defenseless and receiving multiple blows
Ability to climb a building like monkey and swing from vines like a monkey

I havent see Tarzan to really reply, but none of those feats appear to be beyond anything that Cap couldnt do.

Cap could do any of those feats much quicker and more efficiently.

Tarzan is indeed impressive. But for Tarzan we have "swimming faster than Jane can run" and for Cap we have, "He hauled ass down a freeway and outran speeding cars."

For Tarzan we have falling off a bridge. For Cap we have falling from above cloud level into the ocean, or falling off a skyscraper. Or jumping from one Hellicarrier a few hundred feet down to another Hellicarrier.

Well, Cap did swim and catch a speeding underwater craft in his 1st movie.

Spiderman > lions

Cap didn't simply fight humans though. All his main opponents were beyond what qualifies as regular humans, or even soldiers. He's faced off against Chitauri, Ultronbots, Ultron Prime, Loki (though Loki was his superior during that encounter), Spiderman, Iron Man, Winter Soldier and Red Skull.

Lets be fair in our assessment so it doesn't become low-balling for Tarzan. I have no issues with Capt winning. Lets not name opponents as if they were trying to kill Capt.

Spiderman was not trying to hurt or kill Capt just contain him. And all I recall Capt doing is catching him with a kick. Iron Man was not trying to kill Capt either just winter soldier. I admit to battle these opponents is still impressive.

However to say that Capt would kill animals more efficiently than Tarzan in the same situation is not a true statement to me.

Capt clearly has the hand to hand advantage. He may have the speed and strength advantage also but not agility.

Since the fight take place in the jungle there would be advantages for Tarzan. I see this being a fierce battle.

Jumping out of planes and skyscrspers still seems more impressive than jumping out of trees. The way he was jumping around on the outside of the hellicarier in avengers and the way bucky climbed that rocket sylo mskes me think agillity isn"t too big of an advantage either.

Cap has shown far more agility than Tarzan. Literally all he does is flip around and dodge and show off his acrobatic prowess almost every time his fights last longer than a few seconds.

Also you're right Tktina. He caught up to a small, high speed sub. Then punched through the reinforced glass/plastic. Then tossed the guy from the water about 15-20 feet up onto the dry dock.

Nobody is low-balling Tarzan. He's just not on Cap's level after 5 movies of Cap being a legit badass.

For example, he crushed an armored jeep with a motocycle, and has casually ripped apart a thick log. I think in the case with the lions, he could just punch/kick them as hard as he could and if it didn't kill it, it'd cripple it and put it out of commission.

This is why I included all movies in the previous thread. The new movie The Legend of Tarzan has nice special effects but does not due Tarzan due justice.

The black and white Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan movies do but they are from 1930 and 40. The special effects great for their time cannot compare to movies made now.

I can only go with the way the movies try to portray him. The Johnny Weissmuller movies is the closest portrayal of Tarzan from the novels from my perspective. Too bad the movies were made in the 30s.

Cap without weapons is strong enough to punch/kick lions to death. With his shield, they'd be dead even faster. All his feats make this pretty clear. Cap doesn't need to be trained when he can just hit them really hard in the skull.

Same with a Croc. Cap could easily handle the death roll, and just snap a Croc's jaw. If he had his shield, again it'd be even faster.

It's not much different though; the basics are still the same , ie dodging, blocking and landing attacks, and frankly Cap is far more skilled and has better stats.

Why, because the way in which an animal attacks, the speed, and power are totally different as well as how you would have to protect yourself.

So, even if Capt has superior strength, speed, and agility than Tarzan, that does not equate that he can kill an animal like an lion more efficiently or quicker since he has no training in doing so in comparison to someone who is trained to do so.

You wouldn't see a MMA or UFC fighter go up to a Croc and play with it but Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin did so all the time. His strength and speed I'm sure is less than that of the average MMA or UFC fighter.

I've actually had animals attack me before and it's not anywhere near as difficult as you're trying to make it appear, there is zero reason to assume that Cap would be hard pressed in dealing with an animal attack.
