I've only watched the first three episodes so far, but many of the characters seem to have become asses.
Mike was a cocky little prick the first few episodes. I wanted Hopper to knock his f*cking teeth out.

I wonder if Mike's behavior was more than just standard teen angst, maybe he's still pissed Hopper kept El being alive a secret for so long.

Nah, he treated Hopper like the whiny little idiotic manbaby he is. Being old does not in of itself warrant respect. Hopper probably was just angry he wasn't the one making out with El.

Hopper: Boo hoo muh dead daughter!

Also Hopper: *treats new daughter like dog shit*

Of course if Hopper *is*

Spoiler:
dead then the kids killed him. Specifically Dustin and his girlfriends need to do a song routine lol. I like the scene, but that extra few minutes could have made a difference.

Finished watching this yesterday. Was alright IMO. The story itself was entertaining enough, but a lot of the characters have become extremely irritating. And I felt that they jumped the shark a bit in some ways. It's hard to properly put into words, but it has to do with realism. And yes, I know how weird that sounds, considering the show's subject matter. But, for example, in s1, action sequences, fist fights and things felt more grounded and believable. Now, you have

Spoiler:
Terminator Russian guy performing feats that are borderline superhuman, cuz reasons.
And those things just felt a bit out of place to me, given the show's previous style and tone.

Finished it last night as well, found it to be just okay.

Finished half and I see it as the worst of them all so far. Over acting and shit story line

‘Stranger Things 3’ Fans Unlock Secret Phone Message Teasing Big Hopper News

So the guy who plays Hopper posted a phone number on Instagram. If you call it you get this message from Murray:

Spoiler:
“Hi, you have reached the residence of Murray Bauman,” the secret message says. “Mom, if this is you, please hang up and call me between the hours of 5 and 6 p.m. as previously discussed, okay? If this is Joyce, Joyce, thank you for calling, I have been trying to reach ya. I have an update. It’s about, well, it’s probably best if we speak in person. It’s not good or bad, but it’s something…”

Yeah, he's alive.

Good season. Better than 2.

This.
What was Hopper suppose to do.
"Hey guys ill just leave you guys alone as much as possible. Mike dont forget to cum on my daughters face and not inside her when i let you sleep over unsupervised."

Cliff notes:

Spoiler:

-Lesbian twist = stupid
-Will is most likely a closet homo
-Steve still gets no pussy and is has gone from high school chad to likable loser
-Mikes mom would get it
-Hottest chick this season was the lifeguard girl that died, 2nd was Umas daughter
-11 losing her powers was an interesting arc (but overdone trope) that will carry over to season 4.
-Hopper has to be alive. Off screen death, end credit hint, phone call hint, etc.
-Alexi was probably best new character this season. He wanted the American experience , so he eats junk food and gets shot. Pretty accurate.
-Terminator homage guy was cool in a cheesy way.
-and finally ...I Dump your ass

I saw a theory saying that

Spoiler:
the american prisoner the russians have
is Barb lol.

Don't get me wrong I didn't dislike the character, but I never understood why people loved the character so much.

It's a weird reaction to her frankly being handled really poorly in the first season, hence #JusticeforBarb.

I was never particularly a fan but considering how she was Nancy's best friend her ridiculously horrific death and how lackadaisically it was handled in the show was pretty shitty.

Oic.

Well for me

Spoiler:
the person the Russians have imprisoned is either the evil doctor from the 1st season or Hopper.

Lol.

Barb was the Stranger Things version of Rose Tico. No way in hell they'd waste a good reveal like that on her.
