I still don't like Momoa. I expect good things from Dafoe and Wilson though. Those guys are top-notch actors.

Vulko is like a royal advisor. He believes fully in Arthur being king, and tends to just be a kind of mentor when it comes to Atlantean stuff, seeing as Aquaman didn't grow up underwater.

Sure, but Aquaman's two biggest villains are Manta and Ocean Master. He can't play Manta, and Patrick Wilson is playing Orm, and he's awesome.

Plus, with Momoa and Heard as "good guys", you really need a good actor to elevate the protagonists imo.

A fair bit actually. Even back in the day, any arc where he was a major player usually let us see his face at least once or twice.

Maybe Wan see's something good in Momoa as a actor, Unlike some butthurt fans still bitching about him being not right for the role.

The thing is, Aquaman doesn't need to be hyper-successful. Unless the trailer blows people's minds, all Aquaman really needs to do is be competently made, and relatively inoffensive. Like Force Awakens. As long as it's not a stinker, it'll help WB/DC.
