Ideally, someone like Alexander Skarsgard, he's a solid actor. Jensen Ackles can play powerful but broody with his eyes closed (though I heard he flat out won't touch superhero movies). It could have been the role that boosted Charlie Hunnam too. Plus he's European, so that helps, as most of Aquaman's lore building in the 90s dealt heavily with European mythology.
I'm sure there's a few more I'm forgetting, but even in those three, I see guys that could carry a leading role whereas Momoa, even after JL, just hasn't shown he can. If Momoa proves he can carry it? Good for him.

That poster is really badly designed imo. It's great that they're showing off more of the characters, but the colour palette is all over the place, and instead of incorporating Arthur, they make him stick out like a sore thumb.

It's all right, imo. I need to see more from the trailer; see them in motion etc before I know how I feel. And I still don't like Arthur's look at all, even clothing wise.
Though Orm needs a damn collar on his shirt. That mask doesn't work with a bare neck under it.

Ever since I've seen Jason Momoa in this role, I just think how much more he looks like Namor, rather than Arthur Curry. Especially during the Jae Lee days.
(On the plus side, at least this silly superstition about Aquaman's blond hair won't be a thing, now.)
