The answer is no. If the situation here matches (in a completely relevant way) the situation in the movie then they will do what they did in the movie. Cap doesn't know how accurate DS is. He thinks he's a random trained gunmen.
So he would do exactly what he did in the movies, run toward the gunmen, or throw his shield at the gunmen, to take him out.
We argue character right? What would Cap do based off his intelligence and what he shown?
DS never fired at someone holding a shield. He is intelligent (having above average intelligence). Thus he would at least do what any average rational person would do. He would first fire at Caps head then go for an exposed area once he sees that the head is covered.
Like he did on Batman, he aimed at an exposed area.
We're not saying Cap can't block his legs. We're saying Cap has 2 options in this fight. Throw his shield and hope he gets a lucky knockout/knockdown from 50m away. Or he has to get within melee range. Now, his shield, while decently large only covers about the area from his shoulder to his hip if that when he holds it at his side. In the scene where BUcky shot Fury, and he actually used his shield as a battering ram, we see him hold it up and directly in front of him. He leaves lots of himself exposed. The only time he's been 100% covered by his shield is when he jumped and curled up in the air before getting blown away by an explosion.
Based on the shields size, it is quite literally impossible for him to cover enough of his body no matter how he holds it while moving for Deadshot to not have something to aim at.
The arguments make it seem like Cap will be blazing forward at full speed, flipping and zig zagging, and somehow not a piece of his flesh will be out from behind the shield.
Also on the Deadshot thing, he popped Batman in the chest, noticed he was bulletproof before he got thrown, and was gonna shoot him in the mouth before his daughter stepped in.
Come on Silent, I know you hate h1a8, but are you really saying the guy who can do exclusively headshots can't aim for the legs...because he's so good at headshots?
