I just saw the movie and to its credit it is decently shot and does confirm that Margot Robbie's Harley was probably the best thing about Suicide Squad outside of Deadshot.
The movie itself is better than DC's worst cinematic releases in the past decade though does become a tad too much of a cartoon towards the end. Also my biggest criticism of the movie became reality
Spoiler:
the character Cassandra Cain is nothing like her comic book counterpart, not in mannerism, appearance, origin, or even the spirit of the character. It's like there was an entirely new character was created and someone at the last minute decided they should just call them Cassandra Cain because "Comics". There's also small grievances like Rene Montoya not having her mask or noir getup. Speaking of which this isn't really a Bird's of Prey movie but a setup movie for an actual Birds of Prey movie starring Harley Quinn

Why does everything have to be a competition lol.
Golgo's been saying "Now we are on the right track" multiple times for over a decade now.Forget the numbers, money and all the stats.
The comparison was over and lost when the DCEU's movies, story-lines, plots were so bad they dropped the whole connected universe thing altogether.
There is no rebounding or catching up from that. That was when the comparisons ended and this little battle was lost. WB/DC didnt succeed in making a coherent shared universe that spanned a decade of successful films. They are trying to correct the ship now with individual movies not connected to each other, which is good for them because they seem to at least know how to make those be decent without ****ing up like the DCEU ones.
As far as the shared universe vs shared universe go. The DCEU failed already.

Now that I've deleted the raging butt hurt posts and the dick waving, lets get back to topic.
This movie is nothing more than Suicide Squad but with a "Yay for women!" tone. Just like the scene from Endgame where all of the women characters conveniently group up as if to say "Girl Power!" when nobody asked.

Anyways this movie is in the same category ad Deadpool with the cartoonish comedy and as I said earlier it's actually surprisingly put together really well. To me it flowed better than Suicide Squad and had much better character development.
Also I think the marketing was very weak for this.
Originally posted by Darth ThorI think Justice League was a better movie but Birds of Prey was put together better if that makes any sense.
B+ CinemaScore.Same as Suicide Squad and Justice League. So not promising for a DCEU movie. (Of course those two had a shit RT score to boot).
Justice League was choppy and wasn't edited very well.

From the scenes ive seen it looks that way.
Dont take my word for it, here is a short 30 second fighting scene.
Spoilers and all that.
laughable tbh.
