it prolly will be hella bad... the dceu is a mess and that's putting it mildly. shazam and aquaman are films in which i have very low expectations. im not seeing either one on opening day, i'm seeing them a week or so later.. even the trailers are prolly not gonna be great. of course knowing wb they'll spoil the whole film in the trailer

I know I've been hard on this Shazam flick, but I like the character and it seems to be going in a different direction than I would prefer. They are going to make this a comedy that caters to the 10 to 13 year old crowd in my opinion. That's not what I want to see. I hope I'm wrong but probably not. The cheesiness of his costume and so forth just puts me off. I doubt i'll see this in the theater. I'll probably bootleg this if anything.
Aquaman is another character that I actually like, but the Justice League absolutely ruined him for me. I have no interest in his movie after that.

Wasn't aware that the movie section was for debating, but whatever. I think the the character looks like sh1t so yeah, I'm going to disagree with people that think otherwise. I'm not trying to change your mind, but I am somewhat shocked that people actually like what they see there. Must be a Power Rangers crowd or something.
Or, you know, people that read his comics... shrug

Wait... You like Shazam, but don't like cheese... It's Shazam. Like, Billy Batson. A child in a man's body. It should be loaded to the **** with cheese, because that's what Shazam is supposed to be.
But yes, Aquaman could be a ****ing nightmare.

Shazam isn't always portrayed as retarded. Hopefully this movie version wont be either. WB/DC should have went with Lobo first for the comedy relief, but they screw everything up anyways.

The only true, unqualified home run the DCEU has hit so far has been Wonder Woman. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.Okay, that's faint hope. But I'm hoping as Zack Snyder is phased out of the DCEU, an upswing of quality fun will follow.
i think hack is still a producer on these films.....

Retarded and cheesy are not the same thing, though. I mean, what version of Shazam do you want to see?

I don't want to see a Shazam that keeps the mentality of Billy when he changes. I don't want him to stop fighting a villain because he see's a TV in the window with an episode of Scooby Doo on or he hears an ice cream truck coming down the road. I would prefer an intelligent, mature hero once the change. A joke here and there would be fine, but I wont be able to deal with stupidity.
I need to see the trailer.

From the looks of it, they will use Johns SHAZAM. They have all the kids and all. What SHAZAM did you want to see?

I have a feeling you're going to be disappointed, but okay.

Eh, I just hope he doesn't keep Billys personality and IQ and has a separate personality altogether.
Then you have to worry about him being too much like Superman, I would imagine. Well, comic Superman. DCEU Superman is still a work in progress.
