SHAZAM is a sleeper hit, according to Forbes:

And with a probable domestic finish just over/under Mad Max: Fury Road‘s $153 million finish, and a worldwide finish probably over/under $385 million worldwide (it earned $61 million global over the weekend), it’s a relative success. Whether or not it gets stomped by Avengers: Endgame in two weeks, it’ll have made most of its money already. With $259 million worldwide as of today, it’s safely in “break even” territory and will absolutely be profitable.

I hope they green light a sequel. I know they hired a writer but that don't mean they are going forward with it.

Do not expect the budget to get bigger do if this is what you are satisfied with enjoy the horror based run dceu.

This could be the DCEUs second flop. Which is a shame because it was its second most well received film (which was more important for the DCEU at this point tbh).

According to Darth Thor this won't profit so I'm not sure we are getting a sequel

^ Well I'm not exactly an official source lol. I just think it will struggle to break even, which I figure will be around $350mill worldwide.

Thankfully though sequel has already been announced. I think because it's been so well received, WB figures thats worth it in the long run.

Dude, it is pathetic and companies can still proceed with a sequel. I told you all this would be nothing special. I am always right. In terms of comic book films this will end up pitiful at the box office.

Am and WW were hits because I loved them. I am a seer.
