It'll finish a little below. Maybe 350. Still a decent profit.

Quan's correct, there's usually unaccounted for cost. So it's made a profit, but not huge numbers. Still, some profit is better than a flop/loss of money.

It's kind of a shame this film isn't going to get at least 500 million but with the low budget it didn't need to and that's fine I suppose.

From what I've heard that if a film makes double it's production budget back it's doing ok and anything more is great.

It's still going strong, so hopefully it keeps going.

Oh, people made it seem like is was dwindling.

You are ignoring the advertising costs. This movie is not a smash hit or even ant man status. Huge disappointment if you are being honest. AM as I said was better and the general public agreed.

I read today that it was still top this week, while movies like Hellboy were bombing. It's not dead or anything, but by the same token it's not doing the ridiculous numbers Aquashit did.

It's playing exactly like a family movie should. However, it's tanking in China.

I'm not ignoring anything. I said if a movie makes double it's production budget it's the break even point. So if Shazam cost 100 million to make it needs to make at least 200 back to not be considered a financial loss.

False since you are ignoring its advertising costs and the fact it does not retain 100 percent of the box office. It is like talking to a kid.

Do you really think they spend more money to advertise a movie than they spent to produce it?

Pacifice Rim made 411 million dollars on a 190 million budget and it made enough to make a sequel son.

Around the same. Pretty close.

411 is far more than Shazam is going to make, son.

It is far less than Ant Man. That is pretty pitiful compared to current comic movies.

It's hard to tell if your joking or not.

But here we go. Do you realize Shazam cost half as much to make than it did to make Pacific Rim? And that Shazam will make as much as Pacific Rim?

I did not say the film flopped I said it is nothing special. It might be a cheap budget sequel. Who cares? Dceu will not care when they have real winners like AM or WW that are smash hits. Shazam was forgettable at best. Enjoy AntMan little brother status.

Pacific Rim barely got a sequel which tanked. 😂

You are bad at debating.

I happen to think the Ant-Man movies are some of Marvels best. But I see you base quality off of boxoffice.

No, I base it off of my opinion. Ant man is lowest tier of the MCU in quality. My opinion is my own. You seem to get mad at success like it is a bad thing. I love the Last Jedi far more than TFA but the box office does not reflect that. Try to make sensible arguments in the future.

The Force Awakens was a better movie than Last Jedi and boxoffice agrees as do the vast majority of fans.

I disagree. TLJ is my favorite Star Wars film but i just disproved your theory. That is how debating works.

The Last Jedi will be forgotten in history just like you will be.

No, it will never be forgotten. It is far more debated than TFA. Shazam is a film no one cares enough to hate. Indifference is the worst thing you can do to an audience.
