Superman regulating his powerlevel, both on a conscious and subconscious level, is quite consistent throughout his history. On top of that, he also has the "absorb more solar radiation when your emotions are fluctuating"; as a consequence, I believe he has literally all the levels of holding back one can have.

Jesus Christ I wish people could comprehend what a statement means. Superman was taught to stop hold back and being distracted by thinking of others while fighting a foe that was trying to kill him and everything else. You CANNOT be effective with distractions. Superman is not use to fighting like DD and that's what it took to win. Superman now had to not Give a Damn and try and kill. Something he had tried to avoid All his life. The whole point of that training was to get superman to stop being a b*tch and KILL. DD had no problem Killing.

OWAW Supes loses? Really? What proof are you basing this on? What incredible feats that trump OWAW Supes does Kurse have? You admit that Superman is no stronger when he lets loose but he hits far harder (willing to kill).

Well normally, Superman is stronger than Thor by a decent margin. Superman can engage other Herald villains, who are willing to kill, and beat them.

What does this mean? If Superman can physically beat heralds normally and if he can easily kill them in this frame of mind in one or two blow then he is strong enough to hurt Kurse.

Kurse couldn't easily kill Thor. Superman is more durable than Thor. If Kurse can hit Thor many times and not kill him while Superman can hit a peer to Thor and kill them then Superman, at this state, is stronger than Kurse.

Lastly, you are ignoring Superman's speed and perceptions. Clearly Kurse is not faster than Spidey. He's not faster than a bullet. Superman can perceive him almost frozen if he wanted to. There is no way Kurse can win in that perception.

Superman also has HV that can be hotter than the core of a star if he's willing to kill. He can possibly melt Kurse.

They battled EVENLY. Superman barely won and it was stated by Thor that another battle would hold surprises for superman. Then after that, Superman got flattened by the Avengers. The he battled a Hulk that could not get stronger and BARELY won that one. Then he battled BA and got stalemated. Got stalemated by CM in arm wrestling, Got bounced by WW. Not one of these characters had any problem slapping superman around. Where were those mental blocks then? When he merged with CM, who noticed power? Did CM sense mental blocks? Did he sense hidden strength? NO he did not. Superman is no stronger mad than he is calm. That mental block crap is a way for his over the edge fans to say he can go all out or drop mental blocks and win in a forum fight. YET he gets tooled and over powered by many. Superman and CM have always been very close in strength no matter who beats who. But hey! That's not what his fans want to hear.
