The symbiote, obviously, will be alien but I'm liking the Ultimate angle without webs and instead using suit tendrils/extensions.

Look at Deadpool that movie had a meh story but good action and humor and most people like it.

616 Venom relied less and less on his goo imitating the webbing in later stories.

Once Carnage leaving his goo everywhere became sexy and popular, Venom soon followed...

No, but I don't want the movie to fail or for Venom himself to be crap. A half-decent adaptation that makes money is a good thing.
