Venom (2018)

On the bright side there wasn't any shameless Sony product placement in the film.

As for not showing the symbiote home planet...I think it's a good thing that idea was scrapped. That was it can put its energy into one dumb thing instead of a bunch of other dumb things.

Can’t wait for the sequel

I cant wait to see how this kind of Marvel monsters universe Sony is trying to develop pans out. Morbius is next.

I hope they learn from their mistakes and Venom 2 will be better.

Since their is no need for a slow start up I can see them making a more balanced movie.

I think that was also due to a budget constraint. They will probably go a bit higher budget on a sequel but I would not expect it to be massively higher.

Don't expect so much, guys. This one could've been just a fluke.

Remember, TASM 1 was okay... then TASM 2 happened.

Stilt keepin it positive as always...biscuits

There's a - tiny - chance it could be what SM 2 was to the original trilogy, of course.

But for that, they need R-rating. Carnage in all glory.

Lets not get nuts here this is not an MCU film.

A Carnage sequel helps its chances. TASM2 has an overcrowded roster of villains with no particularly special villain.

Whereas SM2 had Doc Ock.

TASM 2 had bigger problems than that 😂

Well I just got back from seeing this and I thought it was pretty good, better than I thought it was with the RT score being so low.

I don't see how some of the MCU movies like Iron Man 3 for example can be so high but Venom be so low. Venom by far is the better movie.

Different tastes for everyone

I would say critics simply appreciate a well put together movie whilst audiences are more bothered about entertainment value.

But then that wouldnt explain why Spider-Man 3 is sat on a 63% critical score on RT.

Critics can eat a d1ck with BP being 97% at RT that movie was the definition of boredom...

A movie is an individual experience who cares what anyone else thinks in the end.

Movie made 244 million under a week.

Any guesses where it will stop?

Hopefully at least at 500 mil
