They were around at the same time. There is even theories that they made it down to Mexico.

Yes you are right. But the Aztecs and the Mayas are not from the same time period.

The Maya civilization was already Extinct when the Vikings landed on America.

The Aztecas could be considered descendants of the Mayas.

The Aztecas and the Mayas share the same Religion. Which means that there is no way the Religion could be affected by European counterparts, since the Vikings were never in contact with the Mayas.

Furthermore, there are records of the Maya religion which dates to even before Jesus Christ.

Thanks for that.

No problem.

The Mayans started first, but they were still around at the same time as the Aztecs. You'll have to read up on civilization timelines.

It most certainly could have been affected. If Europeans had shown up earlier than expected, then it would explain why there were white people in their artwork before the Spanish showed up.

So what? While people are different, we do have similar ways of thinking. This really isn't proof of anything. The Religions are not exactly the same.

Nah. The Maya civilization continued until the early 17th century, IIRC.

They were around concurrently. Both civilizations were heavily pressured and influenced by Christianity towards their declines as well.

No.... The Mayas are dated 1200 years or more before Christ. The Azteca Civilization is dated 10 A.D just like the Vikings.

It doesn't prove how the Mayas and their counter parts in the Old Continent had the same ideology.

It proves that they believed in something that was greater than humanity. It proves that there most be something else out there.

And no, you are wrong. Else the American's would have had fire weapons when the Europeans came.

So i guess i've proven there is a Supreme being.

http://www.diffen.com/difference/Aztecs_vs_Mayans

It's evident there is a HUGE time gap between each civilization.

The Mayas are dated 1200BC - ~1600

I mean, that was your point...

It proves that they believed in something that was greater than humanity.

Ancient person believed in religion? That was a well known fact...

It proves that there most be something else out there.

No, it does not. People searched for answers, and as they couldn't find any, they assumed a supernatural being created everything.

Do you even know when fireweapons appeared in Europe?

Not even close.

No, it does not. Did you even read your own link? It explicietly states that Mayan still existed in 1450 CE lol

Yeah. What's the problem then?

My point is that Socool says that the Vikings influenced their religion, when the Mayas lived way before the Vikings.

Yeah. Why should it be any different now?

Well it's better than saying it came out of nothing. Which is IMPOSSIBLE. Science doesn't believe in coincidence. Things happen for a reason.

Well, unless you believe in coincidence then you are right.

I did. It also says they firstly appeared 2600 B.C. which makes it impossible for the Vikings to have influence their Religious beliefs.

You said that:
The Maya civilization was already Extinct when the Vikings landed on America.

And we proved you wrong.

They probably influenced the religion later onwards. Socool didn't said that the Vikings influenced the maya religion from the beginning, only that they influenced it afterr they appeared in America.

But that a supernatural being came out of nowhere is legit?

You failed to show their end date which lines up. They started before but were wround when the Aztecs rose to power.

Was it the exact same or were there some similarities? It was the latter right? People do have some similar trains of thought. It's not divine intervention for memebers of a species to have similar ways of thinking.

They "believed" there was something greater. They also didn't have the scientific knowledge we have now. This also is not proof that there is something out there. If you and I believe in Unicorns, that doesn't mean that they must exist. You have to know how faulty that is.

What are you talking about? Why would the Americans have fired upon Europeans. What is this even in reference to?

Come on now. If they overlap, they can influence their belief system.

Yes, but how do you explain records of their Religion that dates before the Vikings came?

The Mayas believed in Hell and Heaven 100s of years before the Vikings came to America. How can they influence something that is already there?

You are claiming that persons from two different places on Earth have the same lines of thought. In that aspect why did the Europeans had guns and the Aztecs didn't?

Two different races can't have the same line of thought unless they experience the same things.

Why did the American civilization don't have Unicorns in their records then?

You can't compare legends with religion.

My dude, this is embarrassing tbh, but you might have a better time defending your position if you look into Aldous Huxley and Saint Thomas Aquinas.

That's cause and effect man. That's not exclusive to religion. That's basic morality with a little of the supernatural thrown in.

They have "SIMILAR" lines of thought. They also won't have them at the exact same time either. Europeans made guns, but Aztecs had Bows. Similar ways of thinking but not exactly. You didn't disprove the point.

Again, not same, similar. Are you telling me that Aztec/Mayan religions were exactly the same as Christianity?

Unicorns were an example dude.

Religions are legends. lol

Yes i agree.

But how do you explain the records of the same belief that dates before the Vikings landing into America?

Because the Mayas believed in Hell and Heaven long time before the Vikings arrived. So i don't understand how can someone influence what already exists.

You have been proven incorrect several times on any factual based evidence you have brought forth. The rest is what ifs.
