I assume you mean a minority compared to the rest of the world? Because here in the States it is by far the majority. And the decline is still slow enough to pose a problem.

It would be different if he said all asylum seekers should be turned back, but he specifically noted only the extremists. So this is absolute insanity. No wonder Sweden isn't willing to tell us if a Muslim was behind the recent attacks.

So Sweden still hasn't revealed if the person behind the attack had anything to do with Islam. But the police have said he showed extreme sympathies to ISIS.
So yeah, it was more or less Islam.

Okay so recently Bill Maher has gotten kinda bad, but here is an older clip where he discusses Islam and takes on the topic of comparing things like Christianity to Islam.
Also Bill talks about a poll from a few years ago about Muslims in Egypt. Keep in mind the recent church bombings when you hear him talking about that and you hear the numbers.
I don't put stock in polls of course, but the media sure seems to. So they found in the poll over 80% of muslims supported death for leaving the religion. Charming.

I could almost guarantee you Charlie realized it. There is just selective amnesia when it comes to Islam.
Which this is a strange phenomenon I've noticed in this country...a majority of people here are Christian. So you would think that bashing Christianity would be even more taboo than bashing Islam. But it's not, and we have some SJW's in part to thank for that.
Like, I saw more media coverage of that mosque in Canada that got shot up compared to the Christians in Egypt that just got bombed by ISIS.
To be honest, the Sweden thing didn't get much coverage either. One could blame Syria on that, but then we still managed to have people find time to whine about Sean Spicers comments so yeah, weird.

Yeah, it is weird. I think a lot of "liberals" don't realize that the Quran actually advocates such heinous doctrines so explicitly, so they probably just attribute it to people having wacky interpretations of the scripture, just like there are some Christians in the US who have some wacky interpretations of the Bible (but certainly the Bible doesn't actually say such things!).
Here is another really, really good video with Bill Maher highlighting this issue. Maher makes a really good point and I agree with him...
...while many Muslims wouldn't join ISIS, there are large majorities who are "Big Fans." And that's the main point. The religion propagates the ideas even though not everyone "walks the walk" (so to speak). The religion as a whole is breeding extremists. Which is why Sam Harris and Maajid Nawaz are pleading for major reform within the Muslim world and to the religion itself...

Heh, funny thing is I just watched that clip with Cornell West and Bill Maher the other day. It's just bizarre the way those people try to make excuses.
But yeah so lately we've had: this attack in Sweden..which was Islam. Church bombings in Egypt..which was Islam. That bus explosion in Germany? It was Islam.
How many more of these events need to happen before certain people wake up?
