Most people think Jason/Aquaman was one of the best parts of the trailer. He was trending on social media, as was the trailer itself. Flash has had a poplar TV show for while, and that will also add to the factor, because they're generally icons in the comic world. They'll add some interest in the JLA.

Okay. And Wonder Woman's solo film will help too. But despite all of that, it's still.. you know... Snyder.

He couldn't get a movie starring Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman to gross a Billion or get even a 50% score on RT. Any money made by BvS was all down to the OW.

Snyder has a stronger resume than the Russo's, imo. Like I said before, the JL will do a billion.

I wonder how the JL will affect Thor. Both come out the same month. JL comes out a few weeks after Thor. That also might affect its overall gross.

What are your final numbers? We will compare at the end of the year.

^ Obviously it will all come down to the final quality of the films. But if I were to guess, I'd say Thor will do a little over a Billion, and JL a little under 1 Bill.

JL will probably have the bigger opening weekend, whereas Ragnarok will have a better multiplier.

And goes without saying Thor will be better received by critics lol

Edit- Check with me again after Wonder Woman is out. The better that is received the better JL will do.

In order to start the game, you have to come up with an official number. This is per Box office rules over at the other board.

Here are my numbers:

Thor Ragnarok: 900 Million
JL: 1.1 Billion

Okay I'll go almost the opposite:

Thor: 1.05 bill

JL: 950mill

BTW, you can always change your predictions, so if you want to change after WW, you can.

I felt Aquaman was one of the worst characters actually =/

Him and Cyborg compete for that spot in my books.

Batman = Not my ideal, but still Very good
WW = Good
Flash = Tentatively Average (power / special effects look promising though)
Superman = Average
Cyborg = Tentatively Meh / CGI looks bad
Aquaman = Tentatively Meh / completely out of (comic book) character

Some Marvel References:

Iron Man = Excellent (likely largely due to RDJ being a superior actor)
Captain America = Very Good
Winter Soldier = Very Good
Black Panther = Very Good (unfamiliar with comic book personality, but love what I've seen)
Serious Thor = Good
Funny / GoTG style Thor = Tentatively Meh
Hulk = Average (Tried but failed to make the character interesting)

Justice League sucks.

Unfortunately no trailer will get me hyped or pumped to see it. Just too burnt out with BvS and mediocre Suicide Squad. WB doesn't give a shit and neither does Snyder. So I don't.

It will. And if it doesn't, I don't think that would be a complete failure. WB is doing a sort of course correction hiring Matt Reeves and possibly Matthew Vaughn and Joss Whedon.

Just be honest. as long as it makes money, you don't care about JL's quality.

I'm glad WB is sticking to its guns. They're going to let Snyder compete his vision (At least with the JL), and then WB will probably change things up with new directors, new visions. You assume that WB/DC can never get to a billion, but that's a dangerous assumption. Many movies that do over a billion are unpredictable/unforeseen.

Right I never said WB/DC can never get to a Billion. They've already done that twice with TDK and TDKR.

I'm saying BvS should have made that much without blinking, and Justice League will struggle to get there, because the build up to it (Wonder Woman notwithstanding) hasn't been that good.

MOS was received relatively well overall but with a lot of hate as well. BvS was a definite step down from MOS. So yeah, Giving Snyder a chance to make things even worse a 3rd time for DC's most important movie is a really dumb move IMO.

You're glad WB is sticking with their guns, IE making mostly shitty movies that make decent money?
