fighting Rogue would be useless, she touches you then your down for the count.there would be no point.but then again ..secret weapon??, introducing marvel just so she can zapp her powers would be a waste of air time, and the movie would be too 'rogue centred' ( not that i mind) but it would be boring!
I believe that the blame for Rogue's lack of character falls on the shoulders of both Bryan Singer and Anna Paquin. With Singer, as long as he got Wolverine's character right, he didn't seem to care if he messed up everyone else's. Paquin just can't act. Plain and simple. And she is definitely NOT action movie material. The thing that I really like about Rogue is the fact that she is so three-dimesnional. She presents to the other X-men this image of assertiveness and strength, when deep down inside she is just as vulnerable as everyone else. She is a character, but Singer reduced her to a character type.
I Disagree, the fault is singer's,anna did the best with what she was given. The problem you have with the character is the fact she started out so weak, but you obviously didn't understand they where trying to show rogue's evolution, through a normal teen to a x-man.In x-3 rogue is bound to be alot more like her old self.

But isn't it possible that she could have been sassy even though she was in this situation? I mean, if its just the way she is then she should have been that way right from the beginning. It would have made her character much more interesting. If they made her assertive like you're saying they will in X3, then it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. Its way too late. Think about it: why on earth would she be so weak and whiny in the first two movies, and then suddenly become so tough and assertive in the third? And what IS Rogue without her sassy attitude, anyway?
She didn't seem to have evolved very much in the second movie. If anything, she seemed to whine even more...

She had evolved in x-2,she was alot braver(she did save the x-men)and alot more sassy-she would have gone for mags if it weren't for bobby.with her now beening part of the team, she'll be alot more confident and kick-ass,and she will have been trained how to utilise her powers.
When did she save the X-men? And even with that cheesy Rogue-about-to-fight-Magneto scene, Anna still wasn't very convincing. She just isn't the type of actress who should be in an action movie...

Exactly,if she hadn't they would have drowned-where you watching the same scene as me,it was explained.
i did watch it... and it wasnt like she saved them... logan led them out the wrong way first of all... and it never explained how a 16 year old girl piloted a billion dollar jet... it was dumb...
