Did you read the article tho, FF? It’s about the Taylor Force Act. Which actually enjoys support from both sides (granted the headline of the article is misleading). Some Dems oppose it but from what I’ve read about it, the bill pretty much enjoys practically unanimous support.

The bill reads as follows in wiki:

The Taylor Force Act is a legislative bill co-sponsored in the United States Senate in 2016 by U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), Dan Coats (R-Indiana), and Roy Blunt (R-Missouri). The legislation proposes to stop American economic aid to the Palestinian Authority until the PA changes its laws to cease paying stipends funneled through the Palestinian Authority Martyr's Fund to individuals who commit acts of terrorism and to the families of deceased terrorists

they're too lazy to even browse foxnews' site, so they have to have their narratives spoon-fed to them by their favorite zero-credibility conspiracy blogs.

You're right. But no one is trying to give money to terrorists, they're trying to support sane politics in Palestine.

If you cut aid to PA, you strengthen the position of Hamas, which literally is a sponsor of terror. Also you embolden Netanyahu's wacko one-state solution and allow him to be justified in no longer negotiating with Palestinians and instead oppress and crush them even worse.

And PA on the other hand is trying to get Palestinians away from Hamas and on it's side. While it's certainly not good, the Martyr fund is a way of doing that I would assume.

So instead of cutting aid to PA, why not just threaten to withhold aid unless they end the Martyr fund?

This whole bill seems like an excuse for Americans to push the Israel one-state solution and ultimately further fucck over the Palestinians, causing even more political strife and terrorism. I'm against the Democrats and the Republicans who are agreeing to vote on this.

The bill says to stop the flow of aid until changes are made right?

I'm saying you don't need a bill for this. With a little foreign diplomacy we can just tell PA to get rid of the Martyr fund without having to freeze aid, the threat is good enough.

But this is a digression from what flyattractor was trying to say, that supporting PA somehow means they're trying to give money to terrorists. That's called lying.

While FA’s was absolutely biased in its headlines, you’ve already voiced disapproval of the bill itself based on some wonky reasoning. Which makes me wonder if you even bothered reading it when you kneejerked. Best to just admit if you didn’t at first (as it does seem to look like that you finally did so now). /shrug

I didn't know the details of the bill before reading them, yeah what's your point? My initial reaction was to the headline. And I disapprove of it because it's a symbolic and aggressive attack on an organization that we need to be working together with.

It's just another way for American politicians to subtly support the state of Israel imo

My point is that you should maybe read and do a little research on stuff first and not simply react to headlines. Kinda walked right into FA’s trap as your initial reaction made you look a little ill-informed/silly there.

That’s kind of a strange outlook.

I mean, if you don’t care aboutdoing due diligence to at least seem right, then why even debate?

Idunno. I’m sure you have your reasons (and obviously you’re not the only one who does that here). Just seems strange to me.

Lol why would anyone waste their due diligence on flyattractor's crazy bullshit. Debating that guy is like running in circles only less interesting.

Well, if you KNOW that, why even respond?

And due dilligence is actuallly important when you don’t want to look just as bad/worse than the person who you think is always sppouting “crazy bs”. Especially when he sometimes sets (likely unintentional) traps like that one.

Like I said, tho, up to you. /shrug
