WATCH: Sarah Sanders Refuses to Say Press Isn’t ‘Enemy of the People’ in Jawdropping Clash With Jim Acosta
Jesus this guy is a pu$$y. Okay warning, this is going to be long:
What bothers me is that the media seems to think people despise them so much because of Trump. No that isn't true at all. Trump is merely saying the things about the media a lot of people have wished someone in power would say publicly.
Does Trump go overboard with calling stuff fake news? At times yes. But the fact remains that he is also given far too much ammo from the press...given far too many chances to point to legitimate fake news. And defenders of the media will say "they make errors and then correct them". When 99.9999% of the stories that the press f*cks up are stories meant to be make conservatives look bad...that excuse really doesn't hold up with people.
And unfortunately social media makes things a lot different now when it comes to media f*ck ups. Lets use CNN as an example, let us say tomorrow they print a story and a few days later we find out they f*cked up. The problem is not everyone who read the initial article read it merely by going to CNN's website. Some people would have seen someone tweet out a link to the story or post it on facebook. Those same people aren't guaranteed to also see the correction the next day and so some go on believing it. Sometimes they don't issue clear corrections they just put an editors note at the bottom of the article. It gets even worse when news that came out solely via tweets turns out to be incorrect. These tweets are less official stories and more just claims made by journalists in tweets. The original false statement tends to always get retweeted way more times than the tweet correcting it. So once again the result is people go on believing something that isn't true.
Too often do we see a story about Trump that is wrong because barely any research was truly done and the writer relied on the classic logic of "well it sounds like some shit Trump would do". And it utterly baffles the mind that CNN would deceptively edit footage of Trump feeding fish in order to make him look bad. He has given them so many valid things to point to that make him look bad it makes no sense to try to pull that shit. They do not behave in a manner that suggests they are looking out for the American people. They behave like they have an agenda they want to push.
Then we have the over the top utterly hysterical ways the media reacts to things Trump does. Usually this is negative rhetoric over Trump, but that isn't true 100% of the time. The MSM was drooling over Trump when he first bombed Syria. It was weird. We also have the reaction to the Putin summit. This was nothing less than insane. They called him a traitor, they said he committed treason. They said "this must mean Putin has something on Trump!". They compared it to 9/11. MSNBC compared it to Pearl Harbor and Kristallnacht. And then they were utterly shocked over a poll saying people didn't give a shit about Russia. These are just the latest cases. Every time he gives a speech it seems the media starts screaming about "dog whistles".
They just do not seem to want to accept the fact that there is indeed some truth in the things Trump says about them. If they truly feel their profession is so important and is in legitimate danger I don't see why they haven't tried to change their ways.
