Daniel Craig signed up for 2 more Bond movies, that means Elba couldn't take over for several years, so he might be 45 now, but he'd likely be in his 50's before even getting the chance. and Bond movies don't come out yearly. so he'd likely be in his mid 50's by his second movie and pushing 60 for a 3rd.
