Honestly, the fact I live in a world where intelligent people are motivated in undermining each other, instead of collectively questioning documented abuses of power from the past, and asking what stops such abuses from happening today, is triggering to me.
For example, it's a well known fact conscientious objectors to military service were fed irradiated meals. How do you know they aren't performing similar experiments on people without their knowledge or consent, right now?
Because of regulatory agencies? What about the fact it's so common to compromise regulation, that they coined a term for it? "Regulatory capture".
But sure, lets attack each other for beliefs on guns, abortions, religion, or simply a way of life ("Lol, corn farmers. Lol, teachers."😉

The most horrifying part is they don't even really need a reason to experiment on people lol. They have experimented on military personnel without their knowledge, but also civilians as well.
Hell in the 1950s they drugged a scientist working for the military with LSD(without telling him first) and then he had a breakdown over it and killed himself(or the government killed him, there is a good documentary on netflix called Wormwood about it).
When I say the did it on civilians to do not mean to say "they did it to some people who had did something wrong and used that as an excuse". Nope this was just dosing random people and then bringing them back for observation lol.
