I mean like, say we throw some ablebodied person into the special olympics and they win first place. Now sure, an ablebodied person wouldn't legitimately be able to win at the special olympics without grueling exercise and honing their body into a physically impressive specimen, because obviously the people in the special olympics are physical powerhouses above the par of your average ablebodied person.
That doesn't suddenly make it a fair competition.
Or to hit closer to home, why would it be unfair for cisgender men to compete in women's powerlifting? Afterall I'm pretty sure most of the success from powerlifting comes from years of grueling exercise, not bone density and "stronger connective tissue."
