Nothing wrong with localizing certain elements of your plot so you can sell tickets.

Only an idiot would ignore this for the sake of your stupid hipster "original qwality!" obsessions.

Unless you're movie is about how terrible China is, alter your minor plot elements to sell tickets. Don't sacrifice your underlying narrative, obviously, just to appease and sell tickets. But if there's no harm in it, do it.

I'm a capitalist. I want to sell as much of my products as possible within regulation and legality, of course. So Imma localize my merch, mang.

Dammit.

Then as a capitalist I'd expect you not to complain and take your business out of a state like Georgia(where you're getting some generous tax breaks to film your movies) cuz fee fee's and yet cuck to somewhere like China of all places.

Just like you probably shouldn't be complaining about Georgia or North Carolina if you're willing to film movies in countries that treat gays and transgender people way way worse.

I will make my products wherever it saves me the most money. 🙂

In a true capitalist system, to hell with nations! Make the money. So if it costs less to make the movie in Mexico, the movie gets made in Mexico.

My issue is less with the China thing and more with how they also virtue signal and whine about North Carolina or Georgia.

Which means you'd probably not be one of the snowflakes moving production from Georgia...they weren't there for the peaches they were there to cut down on production costs.

There is no true capitalistic nation. Government has its hands in every pie.

Plus, I'll assume you're being ironic or facetious, as I'm sure you'd be as against "blood money" as anybody. If you can make a profit sending people to death squads, is the classic example.

Exploiting a population under severe oppression isn't too much better, imo.

Now they're just being stupid.

Ejecting fans under this climate.. Yeah, good luck with that.

The smart move would have been to leave him be, refuse him the attention, and hope it goes away. Because a guy with a sign, that ain't news.

But now, everyone knows. Because ejecting fans for political expression is news.

I want people to keep in mind the NBA is the same place so insane they think using the word "owner" is racist.

See, it's easy to virtue signal, but they won't ever stand up and come out against any real injustice. Typical cowardly pieces of shit.

Interesting that it comes from BlazeTV

Why?

Matt Lauer Accused of Raping NBC Colleague at the Sochi Olympics in Ronan Farrow’s New Book

"When the two of them went back to Lauer’s room, Lauer allegedly got physical with Nevils, kissed her, and started “asking if she liked anal sex.” Nevils says she declined Lauer multiple times, but he kept advancing on her and eventually raped her."

So...*does* she like anal or what?

It's not capitalism to murder or oppress people. That's totalitarianism with a different name.

In order to be a successful capitalist, you have to balance human "natural rights" against profits to maximize profits. Short term, you'll see success. Long term, the people will rise up and overthrow you.

This is what many hardcore capitalists get wrong.

So if you have a choice between Mexico and Georgia and Mexico costs less because of the location, materials, and labor costs, but you don't kill 25 people in the process of making your film due to poorer Mexican filming regulations, then you've figured out how capitalism works, long term.

However, same scenario, but you kill 25 people in the process of making your film due to lower cost Mexican regulations, you may have a problem selling your product to your customers who object to your terrible business practices.

Okay so you guys may have been aware of the story of the incredibly pathetic antifa members who harassed an old lady in Canada(I thought Canadians were supposed to be polite, not utter pieces of dog shit).

The guy was identified as a Syrian refugee. His parents apparently own a restaurant in Toronto that had to temporarily close cuz of threats.

That's just awful...awful that their sons disgraceful behavior caused all this. The ire should have been aimed at him not his parents. Cops should investigate and smack down anyone sending threats to the parents.*

Sidenote: he legit claimed he thought he was at an "anti-terrorist" rally. Good stuff, nice lie. Anyways, I have no issues with tracking down and identifying violent little fascists like this guy., but leave his parents out of it. We need anti mask laws too and Canada should adopt them as well, nobody has the right to commit anonymous acts of violence.

*Assuming they actually got threats, sadly people sometimes lie about this and if the business was already failing it could be a nice scapegoat

A U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency employee was arrested Wednesday on federal charges that he leaked classified national defense information to two journalists – one of them romantically involved with him.

Henry Kyle Frese, 30, a counterterrorism analyst who held a top-secret clearance at the DIA, had started there as a contractor in January 2017 before working at the agency full time.

David Frese was indicted Wednesday on charges that he leaked classified information to journalists.

Between April and May 2018, Frese allegedly accessed classified intelligence reports – some of which were unrelated to his job duties – and leaked secret information regarding a foreign country’s weapons system to a reporter, according to court documents.

The documents accused Frese of being romantically involved with one of the reporters to whom he allegedly leaked information.

A criminal indictment said the reporter wrote at least eight articles from five compromised intelligence reports leaked by Frese. It said Frese re-tweeted a link to one of the articles that used the information he allegedly had provided.

The first reporter then asked Frese if he’d be willing to speak to another reporter, according to the criminal indictment. Frese allegedly said he was “down” to help the second reporter if it helped the first reporter “progress.”

The indictment also accused Frese of speaking about classified national defense information to the second reporter via his cellphone on Sept. 24, 2019. The disclosures reportedly contained information that "could reasonably be expected to cause serious harm to the national security of the United States."

“As laid out in today’s indictment, Frese was caught red-handed disclosing sensitive national security information for personal gain,” Assistant Attorney General for National Security John Demers said. “Frese betrayed the trust placed in him by the American people—a betrayal that risked harming the national security of this country.”

Neither of the reporters was identified by name in court documents, and the Justice Department declined to provide any additional details about the classified information that was leaked.

U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia Zach Terwilliger told reporters Wednesday that an investigation started after it became apparent the classified information had gone public.

Terwilliger denied the Justice Department was trying to send a message to journalists. He said prosecutors were focused on the leaker, not the journalists.

"If you leak info, you will be prosecuted," he said.

Frese was arrested Wednesday at the DIA facing two counts of willful transmission of national defense information to persons not entitled to receive it.

If convicted, he would face up to 10 years in prison on each count.

Lock him up and throw away the key.

There is no ethical need here, and the man clearly betrayed his trust for no real reason. Why on earth would any reporter need tactical information on a foreign nations capabilities in the first place?

Kyle Freese is the name of the intelligence guy. Amanda Marcias of CNBC is widely believed to be the reporter he had a romantic relationship with.

Looks like they both have a background in private defense contracting, as Marcias has family in Lockheed Martin, and Freese was senior consultant at BAE, and worked for defense contractor Booz Allen Hamilton.

The conspiracy theorist in me sees a couple with an eerily similar background and connections, working closely with information gathering and defense, and wondering if something stinks.

I mean, contractors tend to be the lowest of the low, and there's a LOT of money wrapped up in it. I sure don't like the idea of a "senior consultant" for British based equivalents of Lockheed Martin being in charge of government secrets.

Makes it all the more baffling pathetic folk try to undermine it then, correct?

Sort of like...there is legit stuff about him to gripe about, so why would a lunatic ever make up even a single lie about Trump?

Ted Cruz calls out the NBA and other leagues for hypocritical virtue signaling on LGBT agenda, while caving to China

This is spot on. NBA can cry about shit Georgia or North Carolina do, but they cuck to China. That kind of "woke capitalism" is sad.

Spot on indeed.

Cruz highlights one of my main problems with virtue signaling. The key here, is pandering to social justice doesn't cost them a dime. I'm sure they wouldn't boycott if there was any real money to be made, or lost.

In the case of china, we're talking about real financial stakes.

Make no mistake about it, if they could get make money off of the Nazi's, they absolutely would. If money is all that matters, nothing else does.

And BOTH the Repulicans and Democrats (The neo-liberals are the party) have made our shallow, materialistic culture of armchair slacktivist consumers.
