You know I’m of two minds about tik Tok. On the one hand I agree it’s a national security threat and could be used by the Chinese for data gathering. On the other hand I’m somewhat uncomfortable with the idea of the government banning things in general. I think it should be up to google and Apple what they allow on their platform.

But it sounds like Microsoft is probably going to buy tik toks American operations so it may still continue.

Private companies should not get to decide if foreign countries spie on us or not.

Break every single company up who has the audacity to feel they can decide that.

I see TikTok as no more or less bad in their spying on users as Facebook and Twitter, tbh. I can understand why Trump wants to fight TikTok to keep the main bulk of surveillance and privacy violation in US hands. It makes sense from his POV.
