Violence at Neo Nazi protest.

One of the forgotten stories in this whole thing is about the police that were supposed to be monitoring the event. There are a lot of reports that make it seem like they weren't doing a very good job. And I understand that the event ended up being much more chaotic than was anticipated, but still. And if this is true - "But the 23-year-old said the scene quickly turned violent when one of the thousands of extremists who had taken to the streets fired a gun next to his feet - while police nearby failed to react." - is really bad. If someone actually fired a gun as described in that article and the police did nothing then that's just inexcusable.

Also the image itself is powerful. The fact that "Love" is written on the step underneath the white supremacist is pretty potent.

Feels like an image that may be in the history books one day.

Great Scene, I couldn't stereotype a neo nazi better than those guys, as for the black dude, he's clearly in good shape and takes care of himself.

It seems my stereotypes may be spot on

and yes "Love" is pretty potent, it almost looks staged.

That is some scary shit, lets dump antifa and the white nationals on an island far far away and charge pay per view............

Scary state of affairs with our radical groups.

It certainly puts paid to the idea of commentators such as Sargon and Lauren Southern who said that we should look at and address the concerns that brought out these far right protesters. There is simply nothing you could reasonably do to appease them. They want nothing short of ethnic and religious cleansing.

But you've been endorsing alt-right ideas for months.

Who has fanned the flames of fascism? Our politicians and newspapers

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/aug/15/fanned-flames-fascism-politicians-newspapers-charlottesville

The courageous former Daily Star reporter Richard Peppiatt resigned over “anti-Muslim hate-mongering”. “The lies of a newspaper in London can get a bloke’s head caved in down an alley in Bradford,” he warned, and he’s right. On a daily basis, the British population is asked to blame every problem they have on foreigners, rather than those with power and wealth. “Migrants: How many more can we take?”, “Immigrants bring more crime”, “Britain must ban migrants”, “True toll of mass migration on UK life”, “The ‘swarm’ on our streets”: just the hateful headlines, let alone the bile-filled articles themselves, could fill endless volumes.

And then the media report on the frothing racist and fascists of Charlottesville – and Britain, for that matter – like David Attenborough in a nature programme. Where did they come from? The truth is their hatred and bile are legitimised and echoed by media moguls and mainstream politicians alike. In this country, the rightwing Brexiteers portrayed immigrants as a morass of potential criminals, terrorists, rapists and murderers; in the aftermath of their repellent campaign, they portray critics and progressives as enemies of the people and saboteurs who need to be crushed.

Yes, racists and fascists are enabled and empowered by elites on both sides of the Atlantic; and yes, not just by their hatred, but by an economic order that generates needless misery and insecurity, which the bigoted can exploit.

They are the guilty men – the hatred, the chaos and the violence is on them. And as the racists and the fascists continue to march and unleash violent chaos, their enablers must be held accountable.

There's a difference between appeasing the alt-right, and fixing an issue that's pushing people towards the alt-right.

^very good point.

The problem a lot of people have is they think of Nazis as a sort of element. like Nazis are just inherently so. If you really look at the history of what happened in Germany, the troubling reality is an entire society went along with it. You can't possibly think that there could be a country who's entire population is psychotic and depraved enough to be a Nazi on their own. But unfortunately, society is full of potential Nazis. And potential antifa/communists/whatever you like.

So those who think the only or even the main message to derive here is "Nazis are bad"... I think they are missing something. The thing we should all be troubled by is that violence and radicalism seems to be fermenting on both sides of the isle, in two different directions.

This isn't an attempt to blame anyone else other than the Nazis for what that kid did with his car. It's just to point out the troubling cycle that is taking place. The far left and the far right feed off eachother.

Much like the actual Nazis back when they were just SA soldiers would duke it out in the streets with the Communists. That's why the scenario that we're in is more scary than just one hateful group emerging. There are potentially 2 hateful groups emerging here, and we miss that at our own peril.

No dodge, reason and course of action explained. I'll pick up on your right wing posts as you make them from now on and leave the butthurt to you.

So posts with a right wing sentiment automatically indicate trolling, alt-right stances, and nazi denial? You've already been intellectually dishonest enough to accuse him of some pretty abhorrent viewpoints without being willing to substantiate your claims, and now you're claiming him just making a post that is right wing is enough for you to justify that claim, as if any right-wing sentiment is automatically disgusting and deplorable. And if anything, Afrocheese is one of the most neutral and levelheaded guys who takes part in the discussions in this section of the forum.

Holy **** you come off as unhinged and deluded. Ranting about fascists and racists and lumping in those who disagree with you in the same group as them. Accusing me of taking issue with critical race theory (an ideology that labels me a racist due to nothing more than the color of my skin) because of my "racist entitled upbringing" or whatever, despite you knowing **** all about my upbringing. Claiming anyone who claims racism goes more than one way is bullshitting, despite the real tangible examples to the contrary (including programs that discriminate against whit people as a matter of policy that the government has several times in the past endorsed or turned a blind eye to).

There are plenty of good people on the left, and even other left-wingers on here such as Robtard who one can have a reasonable discourse with, but you come off as nothing more than a self-righteous left-wing elitist **** whose willing to characterize anyone who makes posts with right-wing sentiment as a troll or nazi sympathizer, and you vehemently demonize the racists on one side (as they should be) while turning a blind eye to programs from the other side that discriminate against whites as a matter of policy and suggesting they are irrelevant.

You with your unearned sense of moral superiority to anyone right of you, and unwillingness to address anti-white racially discriminatory programs and anti-white racist ideologies taught by professors who receive taxpayer money, you are exactly the type of left-winger that is disillusioning people from the left and driving them to the center or right. You unfairly demonize the right, and you are a disservice to the left.

You are indeed triggered and it is causing you to be irrational. Nobody here sympathizes with the nazis. That is a fantasy you created.

You also are sure to put in the whole "cue someone saying they never said this" disclaimer because you *know* nobody did. So when somebody calls you on your bullshit claims you can weasel out of showing any actual evidence.

So yeah, you're triggered.
