From the trailers, it looks like a good kid's film. Certainly better than Bay's film.

Well he does have one good movie under his belt with Kubo and the two strings, Possibly second movie too with Bumblebee just have to wait and see.

To be fair I've never seen anything he's done. The Transformers association is just initially discouraging to me.

But if they do indeed stick with Gunn's script it may not matter too much who directs as long as they are half-way competent.

That's also assuming no one (Dave Bautista) drops out. That will ruin it. It's bad enough they aren't going to be filming until like 2021? I can't remember exactly what I read, but it was a long time..

So you judged based purely off ignorance. This is why you need to do w little research and quit being so pessimistic.

I read an article that alluded to the fact that they don't plan to even begin production until 2021 or whatever it is probably means that they are going to have time for whatever director they find to change the script. So that's not good.

And if that's the case then I wouldn't be surprised if Dave Bautista says "f#ck it" and leaves.

So I fear this will get all f#cked up. Just trying to prepare for the worst.

It's not like Bautista is gonna be super busy with other projects. IMO, if they get the rest of the cast on board he would get on board too.

I have been following it and I know what he threatened to do, but I still think in the end he'll do it if everybody else is on board.

He was. Does he still feel that way? In the end, it's all about the money.

Don't get me wrong - I loved his twitter reactions, I just don't think his "righteous rage" is likely to last.

I hope you're right, because I doubt the script is going to go untouched.

It might already be ruined if Gunn's absence can really be felt, but it will DEFINITELY be ruined if somebody is re-cast.

Nope, that was probably the pre-Gunn firing schedule.

They're not supposed to start production until 2021 or so. So it'll probably be 2022 by the time it's released. And even that is probably assuming all goes well.

as far as i know its still scheduled to come out that day... anything could happen but i'll wait for actual confirmation from Disney or Variety or Hollywood Reporter.

Sso it seems like despite Mike Cernovich's and his Alt-Right Trumper flunkies attempts to sink GoTG3, Gunn's soul may live on in the franchise via his script. Which is a great thing, imo.

That's the thing....does Bautista want the fame & fortune that comes with a Hollywood blockbuster OR does he simply want to make a living out of acting?

He could easily make a steady income doing "straight to dvd" action films or even be contracted with a Netflix original label series.

Juz saying a lot of actors don't really care about the celebrity aspect & jus want to make a living out of acting.

He assures fans it will happen...
