It seems like the script was fully completed and signed off and shooting had begun and some executive at the last minute said "Oh...and we need you to introduce Adam Warlock in this movie" and so he's been shoe horned in.

Yeah, he did seem like a bit of an afterthought to the script.

Spoiler:
People are going to say the cute kid's toy's backstory is sad and they cried and shit... I was just thinking watching people in the pictures **** me do you know how your steak lives and dies... man up! after it was over I had a delicious Lamb shank, no that isn't rhyming slang. The wife was touched by Rocket's story till I pointed out to her, he's a cartoon.

You guys are special in the head. He was literally mentioned at the end of Vol 2, so it clearly wasn't a rushed after thought.

It doesn't matter if he was mentioned at the end of 2 if his character still seems like he was shoehorned in, does it?

Like I said, it makes the writing even worse because either they forgot he was mentioned in 2 and wrote him in as an afterthought or they had years to write a decent story to bring him in and still ended up with the shoehorned crap.

^^^Yeah it matters cuz, it’s not true. 😆

Imagine getting to your age and not being able to understand simple things.

I understand you perfectly. 👆

And yet you obviously don't.

I suspect it was the opposite, the script was moved away from Warlock.

Yeah and plus the movie started off with

Spoiler:
him putting Rocket in a coma.
Like he literally directed the course of the movie from the outset.

Anyway, I liked him.

This makes sense.

I'm just MCU'd out at this point, with all the garbage they've been cranking out. /shrug

I'll see it eventually, just likely not anytime soon. Glad it's getting solid reviews though. 👆

I loved it honestly. Been a long time since I thoroughly enjoyed a Marvel Movie. The Rocket origin story was well done and the whole group has great chemistry. I'd put in top 5 of MCU movies easily.

Spoiler:
and he saved Quill ar the end, he bookends the plot, the film was shit imho mind. Will Poulter certainly wasn't the reason for that, trying to make me empathise with a group of cgi kids cuddly toys if they were cuddly toys from a nearly Tim Burton film was jumping the shake, "Rocket it was always, all about you... ffs"

I have no plans on seeing this in theaters, but am still curious... What happens in the mid/post-credit scenes?

This article explains the end credit scenes (and potentially other spoilers)...

Warlock must be a helluva lot different in the comic for it to cause such a tizzy. Idgaf, because I enjoyed the story they told. It felt like a largely cohesive vision from a solid single filmmaker.

You are really upset by this

^ Yeah, rather incoherent ramblings.
