Thor vs Wonder Woman

Thor's new movie not being usable is just your opinion and your opionion doesn't matter.

I can state things that are true. Whether that's making the rules is irrelevant.
What I said is 100% true. Just ask a mod and you will see.

The movie is out already. Just because it's not yet out where we live doesn't mean it's invalid in the forums. To imply that the only important opening is the US opening is actually kind of racist.

LOL at the guy who apparently "forgot" that Loki tried to use the Bifrost to destroy Jotunheim in Thor 1, or that Loki secretly took over the throne at the end of TDW, already assuming that other people will misinterpret or lie about feats in a Thor film, simply because he has not seen the movie.

This pretty comfortably goes to WW. She's significantly faster than Thor and has a sword that could do some serious damage. I'm not seeing Thor having much of a chance here.

There is no way to verify feats mentioned by other posters, especially if they are misinterpreted, out of context, or even happened. Finally, it is no guarantee that the U.S. version would be exactly the same.

You don't set the rules.

It's simple really. If you haven't watched it then you refrain from commenting about events of the movie. Same old same old.

He is just trying to make up excuses to try and invalidate something just because he personally hasn't seen it. And quite frankly, being a racist douchebag about it. Because with his "can't verify" statement, he is basically saying that only US opinions on it are valid. Because apparently multiple posters from various other countries corroborating what they saw (which has already happened in various discussions on the topic) doesn't count.

And if there were going to be any significant differences between the US and international cuts, Marvel would have said so. And they'd be idiotic to do so, because fan outcry would be huge if only certain people got access to certain cuts. At best, some scenes might have small edits because of advertising or whatever. And even that they tend to point out. They've mentioned things like this in the past when, for example, a certain scene or shot had to be removed from a certain screening due to advertising laws, or what have you, of a certain country.

It's already been released, that makes it usable. if you don't want to be spoiled you should probably avoid Thor topics until you've seen it.

If you believe it's usable then Go ahead. Try to use anything from it.

Basically you didn't address the first sentence.

A word to the wise: If you haven't seen the new Thor film, STAY OUT OF THE VS THREAD SO YOU WON'T SEE SPOILERS.

You have been warned.

Thor crushes her head like an egg shell. Wonder Woman is so phucking over rated in every facet.

That's what happens when you haven't watched a movie, same with other threads here. If they're discussing a movie you haven't watched, then just don't post there. It doesn't stop people who've actually watched the movie from making posts about it.

This is why his point is so idiotic. I can't verify what someone else says about a film I haven't seen either. Doesn't invalidate their discussion. The only way he could possibly find it an issue in this particular instance is if he believes that non-US people are inherently dumber and/or more dishonest than people from the US. Otherwise, there would be no need for a US poster to "verify" what multiple others have said. Because, as I already pointed out, if there were going to be any notable difference between the US cut and the international cut, it would have been publicized by now.

And besides, DT posted Imp's view on the matter. Ragnarok is valid, so H1 can cry all he likes.

Contrary to what your mom and wall of participation trophies tell you, the world doesn't revolve around you. As such we don't have to restrict our debates to things you know about.

Does that ever actually happen?

And even if it did, whose to say the “American” version would be more Canon?

H1a8 really does come out with some crazy justifications sometimes.

Well, what has happened before with the one MCU film (might have been with Age of Ultron, but I am honestly not sure) was a few minutes was cut from I think the Chinese release, due to some shots that contained certain product placement that didn't conform to some advertising constraints, or some such nonsense. But it was covered in the media at the time.

But I honestly can't recall the last time where the US release of a big blockbuster film had bits cut that were included in other areas. Especially not an MCU film. The actual film titles (in terms of posters, ads etc.) sometimes vary by country though.

In the vast majority of cases, any instances where there are really notable variations is when it's a cinematic vs extended cut. For example, there are multiple differences, big and small, between the DoFP cinematic release and the Rogue cut.

It has to be accessible by all members to discuss. Otherwise, they cannot verify the feats.

The feat's could be lies, misinterpreted, exaggerated, etc.

You don't make the rules. IMP already ruled on this.
