Perry Kurtz, a comedian who appeared on Season 8 of America’s Got Talent as well as on The Late Late Show with James Corden, died Thursday in a hit-and-run in the L.A. neighborhood of Tarzana. He was 73.

Jerry Fuller, a hit-making songwriter whose works were recorded by Ricky Nelson, Gary Puckett, Reba McEntire, Sam Cooke, Lawrence Welk, the Kingston Trio, Billy Eckstine, Engelbert Humperdinck and more, died July 18 at his home in Los Angeles at 85. The cause was complications of lung cancer.

French actor and heartthrob Alain Delon dies at 88

John Aprea, the actor known for his roles in The Godfather Part II and Full House, has died. He was 83. Aprea died of natural causes on Monday, Aug. 5 at his Los Angeles home.

Tito Jackson, the founding guitarist of iconic ’70s hitmakers The Jackson 5 that featured a young Michael Jackson and is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, died Sunday after reportedly having a heart attack while driving. He was 70.

Tommy Cash, a country singer and younger brother to Johnny Cash, has died at 84.

Born on April 5, 1940 in Dyess Ark., he was the youngest of seven siblings, which included his sister and fellow artist Joanne Cash. Following in Johnny’s musical inclinations, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving as a DJ for the Armed Forces radio network. Afterward, he performed alongside Hank Williams Jr. early on in his career.

Frankie Beverly, the influential soul singer who was a founder of the hit-making funk band Maze, died Tuesday, September 10. He was 77.

Peter Renaday, a longtime and prolific voice actor best known as the voice of rat sensei Master Splinter in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series, died Sunday, September 8, at his home in Burbank, California. He was 89.

Brujeria Leader and Founder Juan Brujo Dead at 61.

It has been an extremely difficult couple of months for Mexican death grinders Brujeria. Following the death of their vocalist Ciriaco “Pinche Peach” Quezada in July from “severe heart complications,” the band tried their best to soldier on, only to have a “severe medical emergency” forced them to cancel their remaining tour dates this past Monday. It was hard to imagine what could possibly caused them to cancel tour dates when a death in the band didn’t stop them, but the band eventually announced yesterday that their founding member, leader, and lyricist Juan Lepe, a.k.a. Juan Brujo, died of a heart attack at the age of 61.

Kathryn Grant Crosby, the actress known for The 7th Voyage of Sinbad and Anatomy of a Murder, has died. She was 90. The widow of Bing Crosby died of natural causes on Friday night at her Hillsborough, California home.

Freddie Salem, who played guitar and sang for The Outlaws in the late 1970s and ’80s, has died of cancer. He was 70.

Cat Glover, the singer and dancer whose winning streak on TV’s Star Search talent competition drew the attention of David Bowie as well as the artist she’d become most closely associated with, Prince, has died. She was 60.
