Star Wars: The Mandalorian - Discussion Thread

I just chalk it up to differences between the species itself. Maybe some have longer montrals than others?

It also depends which media you look at. Like in the Mortis trilogy, when a 'full grown'/future Ahsoka was shown in a vision, her montrals were the length of Shaak Ti's. And in the Rebels finale Ahsoka's montrals were down to her waist line.

So was the Thrawn reveal just meant to help set up the end of Rebels where Ahsoka and Satine go off to find Ezra?

Is anyone surprised Groku has Jedi training?

I called it last year.

I wasn't surprised to find out that Grogu isn't a clone, but I honestly wasn't expecting the reveal that he was being raised in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

Now I really wonder if he's Yoda and Yaddle's love-child.

Yeah, I was guessing that was a possibility, but I wasn't sure.

So, who are we betting on being the

Spoiler:
Jedi that removed him from the temple, and if they're going to be the same Jedi that may appear on Tython? Luke? Mace? Shaak Ti retconned?

The current list of Jedi survivors in that era is pretty small, but the fanboy in me hopes it's Vos... Doubt that will be the case, though.

So Jedi are getting involved now? Isn't this gonna kinda take away from this whole other view of things with just a Mandalorian bounty hunter making his way through the galaxy?

With Filoni in charge, who knows at this point.

That pretty much changed when Grogu was saved, and he was tasked with taking it back to the Jedi.

And that's IF more Jedi get involved. Obviously the child does not want to leave Mando. So he probably won't reach out with the force. He'll probably go the way of Mandalorian with some force usage.

On a different note.

Is Beskar the only thing a lightsaber can't cut through or has their been other things?

Fair enough I guess.

There was Kanan saying he couldn't cut through a manetically sealed door in Rebels, or at least I think it was? It was with those Trandoshans I believe...or it was just a shielded door?. So...that's another thing. Not really sure of anything else in Current Canon though.

Also from what I've seen being posted and such, why is it I feel like this show is just to put in a lot of references, throw in liked characters to pad out the show rather than work on actual stuff going forward?

I feel like this is turning into Rebels again, where it started out with entirely new characters and all that, but then quickly began to bring back references/older characters to make it seem like it's great but really...not.

There's a metal called cortosis in the comics that they couldn't cut through either. I'm guessing it was mentioned in books too.

Ah Cortosis is back? Interesting.

I meant in Legends, sorry. I sometimes forget about the whole canon changing thing.

Well regardless it seems that Cortosis is back in Disney Canon, in or mentioned in a few sources.

Well by the things he was doing he clearly had training in the force lifting Mudhorns, force healing, blocking flamethrowers, force chocking etc. some of which is high end stuff.

Being we kinda know the future of the Jedi at this point I guess it's obvious when they get to that Jedi temple Grogu isn't going to choose the way of the force.

The Jedi on Tython better not be Erza. I'd like it to be Luke but I have my doubts.

Anyway, great episode.

What makes me wonder is the possibility that it could be the Jedi that helped him escape the Temple. There are so many possibilities.

Yeah, that could be a good idea.

They didn't make it clear there was a Jedi at the temple or at least I didn't catch it.

It's probably going to be Ezra.

Ahsoka says that a Jedi may come for him on Tython. I suppose it may not happen, but that would be the biggest disappointment.
