I thought it was pretty fun. Seeing an IG-series droid go all ham like that was awesome and something I've always wanted to see.

I already knew about the "twist" before hand but still thought it pretty great with tons of story telling potential. It's really kinda sad to see how a single episode of this show manages to more deftly and creatively use the existing universe to tell an interesting story than the sequel films.

Completely agree.

It's interesting because to my knowledge

Spoiler:
Yoda's species and native planet have always been a mystery(even in Legends.)
So if the show is going to explore that(which seems likely), then there is TONS of untapped potential here. 👆

I enjoyed it and looking forward to this Friday for ep2.

My issues (and they're minor):

-38mins was too short, hopefully future episodes are closer to an hour
-Was a bit slower paced then I expected
-Not enough grit, the outer worlds seemed too shiny and new

Does anyone know if the Disney+ app from Android is compatible with Chromecast?

Seems so:

"If you have an Android smartphone, the official Disney+ app supports Chromecast easily. ... If you're already watching a show or movie, the Chromecast icon will also appear in the Disney+ stream." -snip

I also wish it would have been longer, and hope the upcoming episodes are... But I suppose that's because I wanted to see more, which certainly isn't a bad thing, lol. 👆

Google says all episodes are "40 mins long", so that blows, an extra 15-20mins per ep would have been a good thing.

Though my Plex said Chapter 1 was 38mins.

Just watched it, I really liked it. Finally we can see aliens on screen. I may be the only one bothered with it, but one thing that made me upset in the new trilogy was the lack of aliens compared to humans. Like there were just 1-2 aliens in the whole resistance, while it should be more “international”. The dubbing was also cool and all. Really looking forward for the next episode

Yeah I have to agree that one flaw was its pacing in the central part of the episode

I feel the same about aliens. It was really cool to see Nikto and what I'm guessing are somewhat redesigned Trandoshians, among others.

It's not like they don't have the budget either.

Angry Joe gave it a ten which was surprising. I’d say it’s a 9/10. The pillar that IG11 and the Mandalorian hid behind was nerfed.

Was it? Cos it looked like it was barely still intact after they killed everyone.

But was fine long enough for them to survive behind it

8/10 for me. -2 because of length and especially the pacing was not good, 9 or 10 is near perfection for me.

People seem to think they’ve seen Boba Fett in it

It’s not him of course

It's got me wondering if the upcoming season of TCW(which is going to revolve around the Siege of Mandalore) is going to tie-into The Mandalorian's actual backstory..? mmm

what ya'lls think of the ending

I wanted more IG-11 but guess that's not gonna happen now

Hey, do you know when that is supposed to be released?

I've looked online and can't seem to find anything. No date yet?
