It's also a built-in tech feature that hasn't increased the price of the phone itself. Now instead of relying on people trying to invent & implement the same safety feature to guns....why don't the major gun manufacturers approach Samsung or Apple use/share the technology that they've already implemented on a mass scale?
Because the phones are already a computer. It’s harder to implement something like that on a weapon.
Not only that, the cost of manufacturing would need to be raise.
also saying the price hasn’t risen in phones is a lie. When the iPhone first came out, it was 500, not has technology become better, the prices of the phones were also raise. Now an iPhone is between 600 to a 1000.
Another few important things you fail to mention.
What type of battery would you use?
How will it be charge?
And how long is the charge?
Does it go to sleep mode when not in use?
How long does it take to come out of sleep mode?
Will it come out of sleep mode in less than 10 seconds or less of someone is trying to hurt you?
@Squall.
For some reason I can't quote you.
From my personal experience about phone prices rising w/added tech...
I bought a brand new Apple 4 (NO finger print scan) several years ago for about $550.
I upgraded late last year to a brand new Apple 6 (with finger print scan) & that cost me less than I paid for the Apple 4.
What type of battery for a built in finger print scanner on an assault rifle? How will it charge & length of charge? Sleep mode?
I'm not a battery expert but I imagine the same type as smart phones use.
As long as the gun is legally stored in a gun vault/cabinet, there would be a built-in charger inside the gun vault exclusively designed for that particular model of fire arm.
Then a 2nd portable charger/cable that would have it's own personal
password to access usage.
Sleep mode would be automatically disabled when the firearm is in constant motion.
It's just an idea...a suggestion. Obviously the finer details & concerns would have to be worked out.
I never said anything about them using memes. I'm talking about this.

B. When things like the above happen, I don't recall you ever calling them out for leaving out context.

Exactly. They typically don't use memes. Stats, charts, tables, graphs etc while not exhaustive, have more information and context than memes.

That's nice, I still haven't seen you call them out for leaving out context.
All this butthurt cos I said gun issues in other countries are more complex than memes.
Comparisons between the US and Australia has happened numerous times of the board with quite a large amount of context. Apparently not enough for you though.
The comparisons between the US and Switzerland is as rare as blue snow but apparently a meme is all that is required for a valid comparison for you.

It seems more his issue is the selective opening of your mouth when it comes to lack of context.
And I'm not searching back through all 100 pages of this topic, but we have had people "herp derp Australia did good tee hee!" without a single mention of how they accomplished it, etc. These same imbeciles will sit there and act flabbergasted that any American could think Dems want to take their guns. Even as these people praise Australia for what they did.
