Does seem like Beto has gone a little cray cray cuz the shirt comes off as deranged.

And of course my main point was the talking points about guns rarely seem to apply to other things. People who want abortions will just get them illegally if we take away the ability to get them legally. People who want guns will somehow not get them illegally if we take away all guns.

Or: more gun regulation is worth it if it even saves one life. A border wall is not worth it if it even saves one life.

In fairness, it is pretty f*cked up.

The comparison isn't entirely apples to apples with guns and abortions either. If a certain group wants there to be less unwanted pregnancies and so less abortions then you would think promoting use of contraceptives and giving them away for free, funding better sex education etc would be preferable. That doesn't seem to be the case. You'd think if someone was pro-life they wouldn't push women towards illegal abortions that are an even bigger risk to life.

It'd be interesting to see how many people and politicians on the left are saying to ban all guns compared to people and politicians on the right saying to ban all abortions. Both patently stupid positions.

Biden now wants to get rid of guns with "magazines that hold multiple bullets". Then again he's retarded and doesn't know what he is talking about.

But it seems more are creeping towards trying to take guns. Beto has talked about mandatory buy backs.

@jaden Very few politicians are the "ban all guns type", it's just a scare tactic the Right, NRA and gun lobby uses to make certain low-intellect people froth and to boost guns and ammo sales.

Every time there was a shooting between 2009-2016 and Obama went "maybe we should talk about out guns laws", they ran with "Obama wants to take away all your guns!" and the gun industry reaped the rewards.

I know I should not generalize but the right seems way more sensitive and emotionally manipulated than the left.

Got it.

So we should give away guns for free, have free training programs for how to use guns, and ban abortion.

All for free training programs. as it stands now, advanced defensive shooting classes can get expensive.

I thought about it.

Yes, you're correct.

We should probably offer these classes for free.

It may not help with violence but it might prevent some types of gun violence.

Cuz it's not like the guy expressed admiration for Australia and what they did with guns, right?

Oh wait, he did. And what they did was a mandatory buy back.

Let me give a tip to anyone who wants more regulations, but doesn't want to take away guns: stop invoking Australia.

Quan just generalized, can't wait to see a certain someone come in and scold him.

Yeah if it saves even one life...

Obama was never going to outright take away guns, there's a thing called the 2nd Amendment. He wanted sensible gun reform, which would have focused on better background checks and such. Maybe a gun buyer might have to wait a tiny bit longer for certain weapons.

But sure, you bought the Gun Lobby's scare tactics and became one of the Henny Pennys.

This post confused me, quan. Being the victim isn't anything knew for him, it's his staple.

He rotates. One day he is triggered and raging looking for a fight then when it comes back everyone is being unfair to him mods included.

Then perhaps he shouldn't have praised a place that had a mandatory buy back.

No, you just let yourself be manipulated by the NRA. Sad.

^ Only takes the smallest of things to set you people off; what the Gun Lobby preys on every time and laughs all the way to the bank.
