Senate - Democrats are going to need some Republicans to cross party lines, so it's effectively guaranteed that this bill will die on the Senate floor with Mitch McConnell smirking over its dying corpse, while day dreaming of all that delicious gun lobby money coming his way again

No offence, but your country sucks balls.
No offense taken 👆
But there is a sliver of light. If Democrats can pick up a seat or two in the Senate after this Nov's midterm elections, they won't need a single Republican vote come Jan 2023 to pass the Protecting Our Kids Act.
Historically the party who has the White House tends to lose in the House and Senate in the midterms and it was expected the Democrats would lose seats, but now it's looking like they might gain in the Senate: McConnell says Republicans may not win Senate control, citing 'candidate quality'
Safeway Mass Shooter Named, Posted COVIDiot Incel "Manifesto"
The man who killed two people as he "walked aisle-to-aisle" spraying bullets inside a Safeway supermarket in Bend, Oregon wrote a disturbing manifesto ahead of the bloodbath, warning of his intention to commit a "national tragedy."
The shooter, who wielded an AR-15-style rifle and a shotgun during his rampage, was identified by authorities on Monday as 20-year-old Ethan Miller. He was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound by responding cops inside the Safeway at The Forum Shopping Center.
"If you’re reading this then '’m definitely DEAD and have just committed a NATIONAL TRAGEDY," he wrote under a diary titled "The Downward Spiral of Ethan Miller"—posted by wrathofman22. The diary goes on to embrace COVID-19 conspiracy theories and desperate loneliness.

5 dead and 18 injured in a hate crime shooting at a Gay bar in Colorado Springs. Suspect is detained

Odds on the shooter is some white, rightist nutjob aged 40 to 60 who hates da gheys.
But the place was called Club Q. You only shoot up that place if you're intending to kill a bunch of queer people. Maybe cdtm will argue that simply selecting that bar doesn't establish hate - maybe the shooter randomly picked a bar - but either way, his intention when he crossed the threshold in body armor was to kill gay people.
Not sure how much difference exists between being randomly selected for mass murder and being intentionally selected.

Not white then (Or at least straight).
Otherwise his face would already be all over the news, clickbait style.

Anderson Lee Aldrich.English name.
Well, probably is a white guy then, so no idea why they haven't released a photo.

riiiiiightYesterday you're going to bat to defend the reputations of MRAs and incels; today, you're fighting the good fight to stop white mass shooters from being demonized.
Makes sense.
A strawman? Color me surprised not. 🙂
Not at all my point, but I'll let you keep arguing against the cdtm you imagine in your head.

The shooter has been identified as Anderson Lee Aldrich, the 22-year-old grandson of outgoing Republican State Assemblymember Randy Voepel.
Voepel represents the 71st district in San Diego. There were calls to expel Voepel from the state Assembly after he made comments praising the January 6th attacks, and comparing them to the Revolutionary War.
Aldrich was arrested in 2021 after his mother reported to police he was threatening to harm her with a homemade bomb and multiple weapons, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.
He was arrested after a lengthy standoff in which 10 neighborhood homes had to be evacuated, and he was charged with six felonies.
However, records show that he was not prosecuted, and the El Paso County district attorney would not comment on why his case was dropped.
Leslie Bowman confirmed that the 2021 standoff with Anderson occurred at her home, because she was renting a spare room to his mother, Laura Voepel.
"His mom had called me and said, 'Don't come home right now, there are some people looking for Andy.' After that initial day, police never reached out to me for additional information. Why is he not in jail, after that happening? For him to be out there, and have access to weapons after that incident, I don't understand it.”
Club Q promoted an "All Ages Musical Drag Bruch" on Facebook the day of the mass shooting, but authorities said they are still investigating whether it was a hate crime.
So the son and grandson of right-wing extremists, with a history of terroristic threats, murders five gay people and injuries 25 others in a mass shooting at the only gay bar in Colorado Springs, after right-wing media and right-wing politicians have been labeling gay people child predators, and the police are still not sure if it is a hate crime.
But there were sure to let him off the hook when his neighborhood had to be evacuated, because he was holding his mother hostage with multiple firearms and a bomb, because he is a good Christian, and his grandfather is a conservative Republican official.
Oh, he is also a fat piece of shit. That is him in the red shorts in the terrorist family photo:
You do not even have to guess any more. They are exactly who you think they are every single time.
