I dont get how people keep thinking Superman will just use superspeed to defeat the avengers when he never used such against Doomsday, Zod, or Batman. Not even against JL.
The only time Superman used speed was against Flash. And that was because flash used speed against him.
So claiming that Superman will use Super speed against the Hulk or Thor is just irrational considering he didnt against Doomsday or Zod!!!

When Super Speed is properly written/visualized on screen, none of that stuff the Avengers have going for themselves matters...All of the Avengers are either statues or are moving in very slow motion compared to the Super Speedster...
Now when you combine those facts with the starting distance in a Forum Fight (and there is no prep for either side here) being 100 yards, then the answer to who wins this fight is a no brainer...
Superman wins...easily.
NONE of the Avengers are Super Speedsters or have shown the reflex's to deal with Flash level speed...none of them.
What can they do before all of them are blitzed into oblivion!?
Not a thing...
Its common sense really...the only people arguing pro Avengers are the ones who are biased and/or just don't want to accept the fact that Superman defeats all of them if he's fighting to the best of his ability.
The truth that none here want to address...

So what?
His most recent showing demonstrates him using Super Speed while in combat...
And seeing as how characters always fight to the best of their ability in a Forum Fight, Superman blitzing the Avengers is fair game here...
The Avengers lose to the Man of Steel, and it aint even close...

If all you need is someone demonstrating something a few times in combat to declare that they're going to use it the entire fight then Vision turns intangible at the start of the fight amd Thor surrounds himself with lightning. Even if Superman is able to blitz them before they do, Superman has not demonstrated the striking power to KO them with only a few shots.
Superman can win this fight, but it's not going to be as easy as you think.

Dude, have you read anything that's been posted in this thread?
If Supes fights to the best of his ability, Vision will never get the chance to go Intangible.
Superman moves like Flash, so any non Super speedster is a statue to him and the starting distance in a Forum Fight is 100 yards...
None of the Avengers can react to his speed blitz; he'd be upon them before they can react...
Why cant you understand this?

You are being dishonest here. It had nothing to do with Speed and had everything to do with his Dad saying No so he wouldn't risk revealing himself.

Quanchi is supremely biased against all things Superman, so him being dishonest and ignoring context as pertains to Superman is standard for him...

That is called plot induced stupidity. Can you think of an IN CHARACTER reason Superman wouldn't try to end a battle as quickly as possible? Was he raped by the speedforce or something, and thus is forever traumatized?
We know Superman isn't retarded. He clearly seems capable of grasping the concept of "if I move really fast nobody could even touch me". I want an in character explanation for this. Speedforce rape? His dad was killed by a tornado and tornadoes are air rotating at extremely high speeds so he is afraid to use speed cuz daddy was dumb? Survivors guilt over Krypton makes him think he deserves to die?

If Supes fights to the best of his abilities he gets to hit Vision once, maybe twice before Vision is launched backwards from the blow. At which point he'll have the chance to turn intangible because Superman would then need to spend time hitting the others and it only takes a split second for Vision to turn intangible.
What you don't seem to understand is that Superman cannot KO Vision, Thor or Hulk with only a single blow or two. You act like he can speed blitz them and then they're done for. Yeah he can speed blitz them, but he won't have time to completely KO them before they're able to put up their defenses. The speed of thought is pretty darn fast in itself and the big hitters have more than enough durability to survive Superman's first charge.

Good point. Vision is the key here. If he can survive the first blow or two and become intangible then it gets interesting.
Supes may not be able to blitz Vision but Thor and Hulk definitely get speed blitzed. JL showed that he's about to fight in super speed, and the rest of the JL were statues to him when he did. If Wonder Woman, a confirmed bullet timer, is a statue to Supes at full speed, then there is no way the Avengers have a chance here. He blitzes them into the ground, and it's really not much trouble. Thankfully, most people here have sense since the polls reflect this.
Regarding Wondy. She was a statue during most of that sequence because Kal threw her in the air. She can not arrest her own momentum in free floating space like he can. Remember when Flash tipped her sword back to her? She was a statue while falling but closed her hand around it when it came close. She is not on Kal or Barry's level in the speed department but she is not a slug either.
Using WW as a benchmark for speed metrics is flawed due to how inconsistent she is. She has superspeed against bullets and Ares and german soldiers but somehow moves in regular speed against Luddendorf, Steppenwolf and Superman. If this was a court of law, such inconsistent evidence would be deemed unusable.

To be fair, with the exception of superheroes whose “only” power is speed, you’ll rarely get a fast character using his high end speed in all fights.
