What about the people feeling uncomfortable that the only pastry chef in 200 miles is refusing them service based on discrimination? Does your heart not feel anything for them?

My heart does feel for them, I just don't feel threatening the pastry chef with force to make him express something he disagrees with is an appropriate solution.

I'm no scholar either but I'm sure Jesus charged people for his carpentry. And sometimes I'm sure he had to do work for people he didn't agree with.

This is pure speculation. This is not within canon Jesus' powerset. You can't go to the EU for feats. Only the official Elohim approved OT and NT series.

I'm pretty sure nobody threatened him with force to make him do carpentry for them.

What's a "gay themed cake"?
Oh sure, act like you don't know.

I really really doesn't matter, though. Who cares what the bible says on this specific topic? He doesn't want to decorate a cake. Don't force him to.

It was a response to "it's his religious beliefs" being used to cover for the baker's discrimination practices

Yes, yes, I know.

Only a matter of time before we're dealing with mandatory incest and pedo cakes too. The slippery slope is real folks.

I think you keep using the term "force" because "a hundred dollar fine" doesn't sound scary enough.

Its canon bro. In John #56 Satan asked for a gay set of stocks and Jesus made it for him anyway. Of course it turned out to be a plot by Lex Luthor to steal Jesus' bread and fish, and thats awful but still.

IOW, you made a claim you can't support.

Lol no I didn't. I can fully support that he says this is based on his understanding of biblical teachings. I never claimed to know which specific part of the bible his understanding comes from.

A fine backed by the threat of prison time backed by the threat of physical violence.

This is a fundamental truth about every law imposed by the government.

But no I don't think the government should violate your property rights over refusing to express yourself in a way you disagree with.

Those can be denied on grounds that incest (at least in some states) and pedo-stuff is illegal

Granted, I know there are plenty of "Christian" Americans who want to make same-sex marriage illegal and even gay sex illegal. Roy Moore is one of these people.

Did you hear rattling? Do you really believe "I was not rude though" is an excuse for discrimination

Lol, I never once said I believed that. This is what you said:

But SM made a point on this early on, the baker should have just said "I can't, I'm too busy to fulfill your order in time, sorry" or the like, not a "get out of my store, you queers!" type of response. Sure he's still a silly ****ing bigot.

This is not at all what happened. I never said it excused anything. There is, however, a difference between politely telling someone your stance on something and "get out you queer!".

And you said a "but he was not rude", which I pointed out isn't grounds for excusing discrimination.

Yes, but Luthor was onto something: self-replicating matter.

And I am pointing out that I never said it was grounds for it. I merely pointed out you were quite wrong in your description of events. You're welcome.

Thats asinine.

I guess parking tickets are threats of force now too.

Lex Luthor stole 40 fish. That is four 10's, and that's terrible.

I wasn't being literal, I was using examples, as I qualified it with "type of response". Read, dude. Read.

Yes, they actually are..

Usually, you have to pay your fines and taxes or there are bad consequences that up to and including incarceration.
